Define Superman

Okay.

Define Superman for me. I see him as the world's most powerful human being. A man with a heart of gold who looks for the best in others. He is a devoted family man who adores his wife, and lives for mom and apple pie. A nebbish left-winger who loves the printed word.

Do I have it just about right, or is there more?

Well..ill nitpick a bit..he isnt human, he's kryptonian, as far as the strongest person on the planet? probably, he looks for the best in others and tries to do right by the world, sometimes he does get carried away and go a little overboard

I think it was best put in Hitman #34. Supe may be from Krypton, but in the end he's just a classic immigrant guy who comes to the states and joins the melting pot. He leaves his past behind him and shows others the best way to live a better life.

Superman - A man who fights fro truth, justice, and the American way. He's secretly a mild manner reporter. He's an inspiration to other heroes. He may be an alien, but at heart he's human. He loves his wife and his friends. He tries his best every day to make a difference. And as Paul Dini wrote in Superman: Peace On Earth, He views his powers as a gift, not his alone but for anyone who needs them.
