The Great Curve has a new interview with Becky Cloonan (http://www.thegreatcurve.net/2005/08/qa-with-becky-cloonan.html), the artist on classic comics like Demo and Jenny One. She talks about a bunch of upcoming projects, including her new Vertigo book with Steve Seagle, American Virgin:
Expect lots of sex and terrorism! It's an ongoing monthly about a young man, Adam Chamberlin, who is the figurehead of a gigantic Christian youth movement. I mean, this guy is perfect. He's charming, charismatic, a great speaker and has big political goals. Of course, that all goes amok. Shortly after the start of the comic, Adam ends up in Africa! It's fast-paced, lots of action and very dynamic characters, plus you can trace elements of themes and events from this comic into headlines from our newspapers. Seriously, it's gonna be wicked awesome.
