No comments about Emma's surprising guest star in this comic? Am I blanking or is this the only time where we see Emma ever invited on a night on the town with the girls?
I'm curious though about soemthing.Who, among the xmen, consider Emma a friend? As strange as it sounds, Emma and Scott are lovers, but I don't think they would be friends if they weren't.
Does Emma have any male friends (that don't want to get into her panties?)
Does Emma have any female friends?

Reed, as usual, let something come up and Alicia wanted to cheer up Sue, so she took Sue to a bar with the following.
Sharon Ventura (Ms. Marvel/She-thing) and I loved the small joke about people forgetting her number.
Jennifer walters (She-Hulk)
and the surprising one, Emma Frost. How Alicia got ahold of Emma is never mentioned and even Emma comments that she surprised herself by showing up. Emma leaves early and acts like she is queen bee and is shameless with the telepathic powers but I think this was Emma's first girls night out that I've ever seen.

Emma went out with Sue?
I thought they had a mutual dislike.
Geez Marvel, try and put one book out without Emma. Just one, please.

Henry's pretty much it. Rachel seems to respect her now too at least somewhat... I wouldn't mind seeing more of a relationship built there.
If Jubilee or Pagie ever return to the X-men, they'd probably stick up for Emma. I'd love to see a Jubilee/Kitty spat over the issue.

I know! It makes no sense to invite out someone Sue doesn't like to cheer her up?
Really the plugging of Emma is getting a bit extreme now.
And on the note of Emma's friends- I'm pretty sure Scott and Hank are about it. Logan likes her ok. But, she's not close with anyone- not any girls at least.

Who's the one always saying, "You can take the White Queen out of the Hellfire Club, but you can't take the Hellfire Club out of the White Queen"? ;)
Not to mention what's coming up in X-men Unlimited 11.

Well, she certainly doesn't trust Emma yet... but after their team up in Chasing Hellfire, there hasn't been the same amount of animosity either. I think Rachel and Emma could form an interesting relationship as psuedo- stepmom/mentor to stepkid/student.

Rachel has only gone from "would cheerfully piss on her grave" stage to the "wish you were dead" stage. She despises Emma still but respects her ability.
As for Logan, didn't he once tell her not to get too cosy since as soon as Jean got back, Scott would kick her (Emma) to the curb?
As for Emma/Sue friendship, both Emma and Sue themselves in the comics were wondering why Emma was there. The only thing I can think of is that Alicia couldn't get a call to Crystal and/or Namorita (phone calls to the Moon and Atlantis are pretty damn expensive I imagine).
Still, I wouldn't mind seeing Emma and Sue actually develop a sort of friendship.

I haven't read the issue... but Sue is a bit po'd at Reed for forgetting their anniversary, right?
Well a lot of females I know, when they are ticked off at their men like to get together and bitch about men and all the crappy stuff they do. Emma, the bitch of Marvel, seems like a perfect fit for a girly night out to blow off some steam.
The fact she's not a close friend also means Sue doesn't have to feel bad the next day for being ticked off. She loves Reed but she's ticked, she needs a release that won't bite her in the ass.

it was a little odd to have emma go out with sue. but, it worked.
emma's friends with beast, as mentioned. she got along well with xavier. seems to get along well with havok. the only animosity i can remember from fellow x-men towards emma has come from storm, the cuckoos (after sophie's death), kitty, and rachel summers.
Henry's pretty much it. Rachel seems to respect her now too at least somewhat... I wouldn't mind seeing more of a relationship built there.

Rachel may respect Emma Frost, but she is still put off by her when Emma Frost knew Selene was present; however, Frost did nothing to warn or help Rachel at all. Rachel only defeated Selene because Selene is without a corporeal body. If Selene had been at full power, the Black Queen would have easily defeated Rachel...

Emma and Psylocke are shown to hate each others guts in a way that might prove to be interesting. Cleremont's writing Betsy in a very Emma-like fashion since her return. I wouldn't be surprised if we see them together more - fighting and then bonding. Awww.

Emma seems to get along with Beast (they were kind of a 'buddy flick' aspect of Morrisson's run on New X-Men), Professor X, The Hellions (her squad), and recently, even Moonstar.
I don't find it too hard to believe Emma would be invited to go hang out with Sue and the girls. Emma reminds me so, so, so much of one of my best real life friends (and a friend I think we ALL have), who you love to death, but they're not exactly your first choice of people to hang out with at any given time. I kind of make a comparison in my head of Emma's relationship to the X-Men (and other heroes), as being very similar to BtVS's Cordelia and her relationship to "The Scoobies". Plus, it was a girls' night out to a bar, and who knows... Emma's maybe a lot of fun when she's had a few drinks.

Is there still any unresolved tension between Emma and Bobby? Or has that been forgotten?
Especially since his second mutation has kicked in, it might be interesting to drag that back up.

it hasn't been brought up since the 90's. in fact, before milligan brought emma over to x-men, i can't even remember a single scene that she and bobby have shared since she became an x-man.

Storm, Psylocke, Shadowcat, Rachel definitely do not. Everyone else is neutral I think (Bishop, Nightcrawler, Polaris etc)

I can see Emma and Sue being friends after X4. They both have alot in common being "superheroes" and Sue was evil for a time being possessed by Malice and Emma has possessed people. ;)
I think if nothing else they have a healthy respect for one another and the lives they lead. So I can totally see them being friends in the way one would be friends with a co-worker.

i don't think rachel "despises" emma any more. did you read the hellfire arc of uncanny?
they teamed up, and not because they were FORCED to, but rachel seemed cool with it.
emma and sue are very different. emma is provocative on the outside, but i think she's very loyal on the inside.
sue, on the other hand, is a promiscuous woman underneath.
emma's comment about namor to sues in FF/x-men was the only good thing about that crossover.

You have a friend like Emma? lol.
If someone exactly like EMMA showed up and acted the way they did...dressed with no class everywhere they went, stole my lover, and then constantly put everyone down, and constant remarks towards friends, I would have told them off long ago.
About the book...enough is enough. I hate Emma Frost with a passion. So mant other characters would have made more sense in this issue. Crystal, Storm, heck even Kitty.
Emma Frost needs to be limited to 1 or 2 titles or just die altogether (I am so sick of her), otherwise she has appeared in more x-books than Wolverine...
she's been in Spider Man Marvel Knights, House of M, now FF, Cable/Deadpool, Fantastic Four/ XMen crossover, New Avengers and I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting. I have been trying other books to get away from this wench and she keeps popping up....GASJKAKJHSKASKJH!

There are dozens of people who would've been invited before Emma- from the recent Spider-Man/Human Torch, Mary Jane would be an obvious choice. Kitty would be selected (given the history with the good X-men/FF mini) but isn't legal to drink, apparently. Ororo, as mentioned, would also fit in better.
I don't know if Marvel realizes the overexposure of Emma is polarizing the fans this much. Whatever they end up doing with her- killing her off, making her revert to her true nature, become a madam for a new X-Ranch, hop universes and irritate the fans at DC, or even (though I don't see how this would be possibly a good idea) remain an X-man and marry Scott Summers- is going to severely cheese off a large segment of their readership

Personally I'm surprised that Alicia didn't invite Mary Jane Watson-Parker. MJ and Sue seemed to hit it off toward the end of Spider-Man/Human Torch.
MJ: It's all airbrushed, honestly. But you and those tight costumes, what's your secret?
Sue: Unstable molecules, MJ. They're very forgiving.

Sheesh, she's only in two regular titles. She's hardly overexposed if she makes a guest appearance in another book from time to time.

Rachel was "put off" initially, but it seemed to me Emma resolved that by indicating she felt Rachel more than capable of handling Selene (and thus her assistance wasn't really needed). She didn't help Rachel because she had faith in her.
While Rachel's only recently started to respect Emma's abilities, I'd wager that Emma's always respected Rachel's power.

Even when Magneto was the White King, I don't think the X-men even considered the Hellfire Club as anything but what they were- villains. However, it was in the interest of survival that they formed an alliance. I'm sure Roosevelt was just all happy happy joy joy about buddying up to Stalin in WW2, but it happened for the greater good.

Betsy never met Emma as a villain: either they were allied, continents apart, Emma was in a coma or Emma was teaching Generation X.Mostly what Xakko said. The X-men were at a truce with the Hellfire Club only because Magneto became a member of both groups. Reread Uncanny X-men 213, where Storm protests against Magneto's proposal to become the White King.
They weren't fighting, but their was certainly a lot of animosity and tension between the two groups. They didn't like each other at all. If I were to describe the Betsy-Emma scene in Uncanny X-Men 460, "animosity" would be it.
Xakko's example of the Cold War is a good one. It was pretty much the same case.
