Okay people,
Who can give me some information, including info on the order of trades, for this title Artesia?
I read an article in the latest Comics Buyer's Guide, and I'm intrigued.

From my first review of Artesia from over a year ago:
A former concubine turned warrior priestess leads a revolution against her own king, who has abandoned the traditional religion in favor of another as a means to gaining great power. Meanwhile, another army is on the move, conquering all in its path. This is a series that began at Sirius before the creator went solo, and has since been collected into three trade paperbacks, this one being the first. Artesia is, in a word, breathtaking. The full color, Barry Windsor-Smith-like art will draw you in from the first page. Artesia is that rare female character in comics who is able to kick ass without sacrificing her femininity, or indeed, her humanity. She has ties to both the physical world and the spiritual one, and is able to find a balance between the two, even when other people try to pigeonhole her into one role or another. The decisions she makes have had harsh consequences, and some are easier for her to deal with than others, but deal with them she does. Be warned – the story starts in the middle of the action and you’ll have to catch up with what’s going on, but once you do, you will be rewarded. If you like books like Promethea, Lady Death or Sojourn, this book is definitely for you. A
Three trade paperbacks so far: Artesia, Artesia Afield, and Artesia Afire, plus a few annuals and an RPG. Warning: there's a lot of nudity and explicit sex and violence, especially in the second and third trades. And when I say explicit, I MEAN it! I believe this is the website (www.archaiasp.com).
Awesome book. Well worth picking up.

I have all three trades (although I recently lost the third trade in a vicious water attack on my bookshelf). It's an impressive series. Very intricate, very fleshed out world.

This is indeed a brilliant series. If only it was more frequent. :(

Okay...I'm going to give the book a shot, I'll order the first trade when I hit the comic shop today.
Oh, and nudity doesn't bother me. I'm pervilicious! LOL!

I ordered the trade a couple weeks back and according to the comic shop's invoice, it's coming in next week.

Be warned that it's not the easiest book to read. There's a lot of interweaving plot threads, mystical and alegorical imagery, and medieval tactical planning.
But if you take your time with this book, think about it and absorb it, you should love it.

I don't have a problem taking time to read books.
Between having to find the time to read and making sure I read every possible word and illustration, it took me 2 1/2 months to read the first Kabuki book Circle Of Blood.
