Powergirl's history is confusing enough. I don't think we need to add Matrix/Linda to the mix. I'm happy for Powergirl to just be Powergirl.

Their characters are so different, it wouldn't really work. DC got rid of the Linda/Matrix/Angel Supergirl because she/it/whatever was too confusing, I doubt they'll be bringing the concept back. But you never know..

I'd like to see the character come back in some way, but the continuity would reach a whole new level of messiness.
I mean, come on. We're talking about a refugee from the Pocket Universe, here.

And while we're at it, let's have Power Girl become a new Star Sapphire.
Stick the gem in her forehead, pink leotard with black cape, evil feminism combined with Kryptonian-level strength... you know you'd like it. :p
(Failing that though, I like the PG we've got now. Maybe bring Linda [just Linda] back with a new ID?)

What are you talking about, Linda Danvers is the true Super Girl, not this 2 dimensional character.. yeesh.. sorry, this new book is no where near Peter David's.
I really wonder if it would have ever been revealed that Lee, the lead character in Peter David's book Fallen Angel was actually Linda Danvers. It's too bad that everyone was too busy reading crappy books to pick up that excellent series. Now that book is moving to IDW, I doubt that Peter David will ever be allowed to lead readers to that revelation.

From what I remember reading, if I remember correctly, Per Peter David, Fallen Angel was not Linda Danvers but his own creation. That is why she will be appearing in at another publisher some time in the future.

What the hell? What does this have to do with the topic in any way? This is an issue about Power Girl and Linda Supergirl being combined in some funky more-confusing origin story, this has nothing to do with any other Supergirl.

If Power Girl became Power Woman, I guess it'd be alright for Linda to become Power Girl. But why not just call her Matrix or something.

I'd really prefer that Power Girl's origin not be tied to anything. Not Superman. Not Supergirl. Not the Legion of Super-Heroes. Not ancient Atlantis.
I'm hoping that Johns stretches his creativity muscles and gives us an origin that would make PG unique.

She could still keep the name.
