View Full Version : Best Captain Britain Costume
Alpha to Omega

Since he's going to change his costume yet again for New Excalibur I decided to make a poll on which of his costumes is considered best. I personally think that the new one he received during the Excalibur mini-series which his dad wore was the best. My second favorite is the Union Jack one he wore during Moore/Davis run and after. So vote and comment.

Yeah, I like the newer costume, but I also liked his last costume in Excalibur's original run (Which is what I have in my Avatar).
This was introduced around the time of the big Hellfire club/Black Air storyline, and reintegrated Cap's forcefield into the costume. Plus it was a little less bright white... :D

maybe you can add some costume pix, so we can compare.

I love em all, but the original red one was the most original and cool IMO.
I love the one from his series and the one from Excalibur just about as much.

I've attached pics of his mini-series costume, his New Excalibur costume and his original costume. I can't find a good Britannic one though.

Here is his Brittanic-costume. Way different than the other costumes he ever had. It's my favorite...!

The Captain UK-costume is actually called the Captain Marshall costume. It is my favourite, followed by the Exc 100 version of Brian's costume (not so much for look as for the fact that Brian used his scientific knowledge to upgrade the costumes with the projectable forcefield and the psi-screens)
I don't like the original version and I loathe the Brittanic version, but I rather like the Excalibur limited version (apart from the Union Jack flames over his eyes)

The Union Jack and Captain UK costumes are my favourites by far. Original, bright, heroic and iconic.
I'm not too keen on the New Excalibur costume yet. I don't like the black, and all those seams make it look more like something Brian's picked up from a motorbike shop. I forget now just how the original Captain Britain costumes were supposed to work, since the writers seemed to change their mind every year, but maybe the home-made quality is going to be a plot point in the book.

I liked the costume he wore during latter Excalibur issues, which was more dark blue than white. A much more sphistocated version of the flag-costume, IMO. (white tights=not a good idea)
I also dug the royal-looking resdesign from the Excalibur mini. I wish we got to see that look in action more. It had alot of potential.
I'm looking forward to the new costume. I really like M. Ryan's sense of style. (his New Mutant/Hellion costumes were quite cool.) Can't wait for Cap to get out of that hoakey 90s costume!

the mini is the best IMHO... his new look is only an adjustment of his original excalibur run costume

I like them all. I voted for the CB male UK one.

I like the one that wasn't listed...from the latter days of Excalibur volume 1...it was REALLY good.
After that one, probably the mini series one.
