Does anybody use internet auction sites other than ebay?

I've gotten sick of them charging for me to sell my items, then charging again to collect my fee, and charging each time I want to relist. Frankly, I'm losing more than I make.

I don't know why, but it's only just occurred to me to look into other auction sites, so googled for it and came up with sites like ebid and auctionfire. Sites that claim to have no listing fee. Just what I'm looking for, if true.

The fact that I didn't even know there were other sites, is just one indication of how pervasive ebay is.

Does anybody use any of these other sites? Can you recommend any?

Any specific genre?

Yahoo auctions didn't get enough traffic the last time I looked.

But there are genre specific auction sites worth looking into.

I know there's a Transformers toy auction site, for instance. Specialization might help.

Also, your ebay account can be logged in at various international eBay sites (countries where your listing doesn't necessarily show up) and I've sold stuff through, say, EBay.co.uk. The way I set the auction up, it's still visible to buyers in the U.S. (in pounds) and more people in the UK see it as well.

If you speak Spanish, you can target buyers in Mexico or Spain, for instance.

It's a handy tool if you notice your stuff is in demand more outside the U.S. (Just make sure you aren't violating any international laws. As a rule, software is a no-go. The U.S. considers selling your Microsoft Word to a buyer in England to be a form of arms trafficking.)

Well, uh, comic books. duh. ;)

I'm just looking for a good alternative to ebay, that's cheaper, or (even better) free.
