X-23 has been added to series 12, the Giant Apocalypse wave.

More news from the issue of Toyfare:

-Ionic Wonder man and Wolverine w/new head & jacket are the variants from Series 11. They will apparently be harder to find than Series 9.

-Series 13 is entitled...Bring On the Bad Guys! Hell yeah!

-One of the series 13 variants will be a classic Green Goblin sans mask with an insanely grinning Norman Osborn head.

As I said to you before... I must have that figure!

It sounds like the rumoured line up for 13 was correct, that featured all bad guys.

. . .

Because one Wolverine wasn't enough? They have to over-expose his clone too?

That said, it's a nice figurine. I love the Marvel Legends ones I have. They're good quality, nicely moulded.

Its smart marketing if you ask me... make legends but also produce figures of people who are hot at the moment.

X-23's mini sold more then most X-Men minis and more then some of the recent Wolverine minis. She pretty hot right now, so strick while the iron's hot cause in a few years she could of gone and no one would want a figure then.

Just like I've been saying they should do a Young/New Avengers boxset or atleast release guys like Sentry, Spider-Woman, Cage etc.

Well, the Young Avengers Boxset is supposedly coming. By the way, here's another picture of the X-23 figure. According to the article her feetclaws are retractable. :)

Wow!

I hope her claws aren't bent in the package... like everyone of my Wolverines!

She's pretty cool-looking.

Of course they need variants with her Fang and NYX looks.

Spider-Woman is getting her own Marvel Selects figure

Are the Legends ones cheaper?

Why the name LEGENDS?
X-23 is hot, but hardly a "legend"...

A friend mentioned that a Spider-Woman Select would rule out the possibility of a MARVEL LEGENDS ever made of the character.
Why is that?
Any experts could tell me the basic differences between Selects and Legends?
Thanks!

First yes the Legends are cheaper because they are sold at wal-mart, K-mart and such will diamond select is an exclusive type thing.
Second, why X-23 is in the Legends set is because it will make Marvel and toy-biz money, it has nothing to do with the idea that she is a legend of any sort.
Third, I don't know where your friend got his info, but it does not rule out the possiblility of her getting a Legends figure but it might delay it some.
Finally, the difference between Selects and Legends is as follows.
1) Selects are more detailed but less actuated then Legends.
2) Selects are not sold through major chain storys, Legneds are.
3) Usually Selects are for figures that although they will sell will not sell to kids, like the Legends will.

Hope that helps. :)

Marvel Select figs stand an average of one inch taller than Legends and have much fewer articulation points. They come with gigantic bases or accessories and cost about ten bucks more. They are, however, of a generally higher quality plastic and as such are more durable.

I would much rather see a Spider-Girl Legend than X-23. I sure hope they get to Spider-Girl before Arana, though I'm not holding out much hope since they made a Doop fig and there still hasn't been a gat-durn individual Sue Richards!

This is false. Lots of characters have a Marvel Select and a Marvel Legends figure.

Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Green Goblin, and Black Cat all fit this bill.

Legends are usually the toys that (if you want to) you can play with because they're more articulated.

Selects are more statuesque.

Quick question about the Marvel Legends in general.

I've looked at them a few times in stores and I know they have lots of articulation points, but how poseable are they really? Can you get a good variety of different poses with say the Spider-Man one?

I'd say Spider-Girl is unlikely... there are tons of people they could release and the comic averages 2,000 sales. It could happen but I wouldn't bet on it. I would buy one though.

The posability is great. I post all my Marvel Legends in fight poses or poses from comic covers etc. and can do tons of stuff with them.

All right that's it, I checked out your site, Crimson, to see how poseable they are and now I've got to have one! Just one though...

Well it's not like Doopwas released by himself...And with 3 Invisible Women on the market, along with more of her in the FF movie line, I doubt we'll ever see a single-carded ML of her. Which sucks, because we need a blue & black one to go with ML2 Thing and ML5 Reed.

If Arana happens, she will be the first ML since Toad that I will not buy. I'd buy a Spider-Girl, but Arana sucks. They tried to push her down our throats just like X-23, but it didn't work with her.

It was a pack-in with the Deadpool figure, just as Howard the Duck came with Silver Surfer.

As for how poseable they are... extremely. Spider-Man in particular gets tons of articulation, but all of them are poseable as all hell; you can put them in all kinds of crazy positions. Of course, uh, only a completely immature idiot would have Cyclops and Phoenix going at it on his coffee table while his girlfriend looks on and shakes her head sadly. But, y'know, you could.

Aside from Hulk and Wolverine thats an assue lineup... I like the Astonishing outfit though and as it makes a giant Apocalypse I don't mind getting Hulk.

Not bad over all, not bad at all. I hope the actual figures are as good as the lineup.

It's about time we started seeing some "Astonishing X-men" versions of characters, I say. The only one out thus far is the Select Emma Frost, and I still haven't decided if I can pick that up without getting crap from the GF...

I think I might finally get a wolverine fig, and diffently the Iron Fist and the Sasquatch. The other three well I think I will feel no pain in missing out on Bishop, Maestro Hulk and the Female teen wolverine rip-off.

If I attack you both by insulting both Spider-Woman and the Black Knight, will you each fight with me instead of each other? I promise I'll quit sooner. :)

Anyway, I'm really not interested enough in any of the characters from the upcoming series to buy them, but I am still glad that a lot of folks will be getting toys of their fave characters and that there is a Marvel line right now. I was the saddest kid on the block when they discontinued the Marvel Superheroes line in the early 1990s.

Because of New Avengers, Spider-Woman is probably hotter than ever.

I'm surprised that X23 is popular. Doesn't do anything for me, but whatever.

I dont' collect Marvel Selects because they are a different scale than Marvel Legends. So no Spider-Woman for me. :(
