Rich posted some names for the ones in the picture of the covers of upcoming Exiles. Can anyone name the rest?? I tried, but am at a loss too.

Top left: Blink, Morph, Doom 2099, and I think Power Princess from Squadron Supreme (maybe Sinister); no idea on the big guy

Top right: Longshot, Mimic, Morph, Sabretooth, Spider-Man 2099; no idea on the flyer

Bottom left: Mimic, Blink, Sabretooth, Hulk 2099, Spiral; no idea on the guy to left of Blink

The big guy looks like Terrax.

The big guy is supposed to be Maestro, I think.

The mystery guy in the bottom left image looks familar, but I can't place him.

Yeah, my original thought was that it was Terrax, but the more I look at it, the more I think it IS supposed to be Maestro (from Hulk: Future Imperfect).

As for the other two, the one in the top right picture is Starbrand (from the New Universe), and the one in the lower left is Justice (again, from the New Universe.) Justice would make an interesting character, since the title originally said he was supposedly from another dimension, but it turned out to be "a hallucination artificially induced in the protagonist." Would he even believe that he's an Exile?

So here's how the pictures go:

Picture 1:
Maestro (from Hulk: Imperfect Future)
Power Princess (from Squadron Supreme)
Dr. Doom (from 2099)
Blink (from Age of Apocalypse - regular member)
Morph (from universe seen only in Exiles title - regular member)

Picture 2:
Starbrand (from New Universe)
Spider-man (from 2099)
Sabretooth (from Age of Apocalypse - regular member)
Morph (from universe seen only in Exiles title - regular member)
Mimic (from universe seen only in Exiles title - regular member)
Longshot (from Mojoverse)

Picture 3:
Spiral (from Mojoverse)
Hulk (from 2099)
Justice (from New Universe)
Blink (from Age of Apocalypse - regular member)
Sabretooth (from Age of Apocalypse - regular member)
Mimic (from universe seen only in Exiles title - regular member)

and Picture 4:
apparently The Invisible Woman, The Vanisher, Nowhere Man and ninja Kitty Pryde "obviously." ;)

It is interesting to note that the team has ALWAYS been 6 members, but picture one only shows 5 members... Who would be the 6th member (my bet is on Mimic), or has the dynamic changed?

Anyway, my question to everyone is: which is the "coolest" team (of those shown)? I'm kinda partial to the second one, but with NO females on that team, I have to say that it would need to be tweaked to be the best. As is, the third one, definitely.

I love Power Princess because of that issue where she had her...eyes...hanging out on every page. Such beautiful eyes...

Seriously though, Maestro is cool. Would he work on a team?

And what is the New Universe?

And what is the New Universe?
A failed Marvel experiment in the 1980s where they cancelled a bunch of great second tier titles (like "Power Man & Iron Fist," once it had finally come into its own, thanks to Christopher Priest and Kurt Busiek) and started a new "realistic" superhero universe that included, hee hee, super football players.

Amazingly, it went bust. They've recently started to plunder the few good things from it, like the Starbrand, for the regular Marvel Universe.

Starbrand and DP7 showed up in QUASAR a few times, but that's it.

Let's not completely knock the New Universe. D.P.7 was fantastic and done by the Squadron Supreme team (Gruenwald and Ryan). It still ranks as one of my favorite series of all times. I read the entire run (32 issues) about once a year.

Blur (from DP7) appears in the Supreme Power book by JMS, although it appears he's an amalgam of The Whizzer (from the Squadron Supreme) and Blur although with a different background to either.

Strange that JMS used the name 'Blur' rather than 'Whizzer' for his Supreme Power character... anyway, I digress.
