I want to add another Superman book to my pull besides Superman. I only want either Adventures of Superman or Action Comics, not both. Which one should i choose?

I'd say Action. But that's only because I enjoy Gail Simone's writing far more than Greg Rucka's stuff.

Adventures of Superman, definitely. It's too early to tell with Action Comics ... with so far there only being a few issues truly made by Gail (who is usually good), and a tie-in to a story that's pretty much Rucka's.

If you only want to buy two Superman books then I'd recommend (given the current creative teams) that you drop Superman and pick up both Adventures and Action.

Thanks for the input...which one of these is going to become Superman Confidential?

Either Superman or Adventures of Superman. It hasn't been revealed yet.

do you think they will re-number whichever series converts?

I can't imagine they'd re-number (or for that matter re-name) Action, pretty much the longest running comic series...y'know, ever. :)
But I've been wrong before.

I suspect they'll change "Adventures of Superman" back to plain old "Superman" again and cancel Superman vol 2.

What's Superman Confidential? This is news to me......
Sounds like it's along the lines of the "Classified" or "Legends" comic books, where any timeline is possible.
Mind you, I don't stop by Newsarama everyday either.

Little is known of Superman Confidential and Batman Confidential, Manny, except that they are both probably replacing an existing Superman or Batman series. Geoff Johns is rumored to be the Superman writer.
As for the question at hand, I think Action Comics might be the best superhero title that DC currently publishes.
So I pick that one. :)

I just picked up the trades for all of Rucka's issues on Adventures of Superman and it is some of the best Superman I have read. Gail's seems alright but it has been crossing over with other titles and it is hard to tell how good it actually is.

I believe it was said at some recent convention that they would *not* be restarting the numbering on any books as the result of IC.

Action. Gail Simone's doing great stuff.

Definately Adventures. Picking around the crossover stuff, I just find the 'regular' storyline (mostly dealing with Ruin) more interesting than Action's. I also like the art better, especially the gorgeous covers (but I never was a big Byrne fan).
