I'm a new comic reader and I'd like to get to know the Superman character more so I can observe his changing in Infinite Crisis.

I have read the first two TPB's of the revived Superman. I have read various tpb's such as Red Son, and For all seasons.

I will be reading OMAC Project, Batman, Detective Comics, and the Superman Sacrifice arc.

Which Superman titles should I be following? Superman is much more confusing than the Batman titles. I am trying not to spend too much on comics, since I'm following HOM, so which ones are the best and most relevant to Infinite Crisis?

I can tell you that Byrne's Man of Steel, The Death of Superman, World Without a Superman/Funeral For a Friend, and The Return of Superman are key books to get a frame of reference for Supes' character and importance in the DCU. Superman/Batman vol. 1 Public Enemies also sets up Villains United, as was shown in the Prelude to Infinite Crisis. Related to that are the President Luthor trades. There's also the Our Worlds At War volumes 1 and 2.

I think the Adventures of Superman monthly deals with IC more so than the other two Superman books.
