It gets a lil deep, touching on long-standing mental health issues on his part... then, I hear, he sometimes claims he's been fooling mental health professionals and everybody else for years, in this regard. I dunno.

I feel pretty bad about my initial reaction to this. Weird mix of emotions on this one.

I think the initial reaction is to the cliché-become-reality story. Then the details of the brutality set in.

I saw this at another forum and I'll post the same thing I said there.

I can see where the guy is coming from, I mean he lives in Florida and we know it's muggy and hot there. Maybe he didn't have Air Conditioning. Who in their right mind would want to cuddle in 90 degree heat with 95% humidity? Obviously the woman was insane and he was just defending himself.

Personally I'd say there was a lot more to it than that.

However, he pleaded guilty, so unless the prosecution cared about anything other than getting a guilty vedict it didn't matter.
