I can honestly say I didn't see a Sun Eater creator coming.
Good stuff.
Thought I was gonna pass up this mini series but now I'm glad I didn't.

The art in this book is awesome. This series keeps getting better and better with each issue. The finale should be great.
One thing, though. i really wish that the readers had been warned that Titans history was a must. I found myself getting lost in places until I did some research.

We pick up with the fight last ended in #2. We see Donna taking out the TT and Outsiders most powerful fighters: Jade, Kory. After Donna gets done beating them, Wonder Girl gets into fight. Pretty good fight I think.
Kid Flash goes with some of the people of the planet back to where they live and finds out what the weapon is that the Titan's of Myth have been going after.
Eventually Nightwing is able to come up with a plan to show Donna what she has actually done (well, with Raven's help.) In doing so, knocks her back to reality.
Kory recognizes the weapon, a weapon that produces Sun Eater's.
Then the why the Titan's want the weapon and what the planet actually is.

so she was dead right? how did she come back?
Isn't eternal reincarnation one of her powers in the first place?

I don't think this issue answered this question. Nor can I with my limited amount of TT knowledge.

Yeah, the art is great, but I hate whenever they use the gods in stories. The names are confusing and a pain. I haven't read a story with them yet that I have ever liked. I'm pretty sure Diana is going to get whacked and Donna or Cassie becomes the next Wonder Woman. I almost hope it's Cassie that becomes Wonder Woman and Donna stays with her cool new role and costume.

Definately a huge improvement over the last two issues.

Wow... Sun-Eater! This issue brought me back in and hooked me on the story after the lack-luster #1 and #2. Beautiful art as always.
And best of all, no giant, glowing vaginas!

I knew that glowy thing reminded me of something, but I just couldn't put my finger on it...

What makes you say that? I can't imagine DC doing that in a million years (especially with how much character development she's had recently). Have you read spoilers, or are you speculating/hoping?

She was cursed by Dark Angel (vengeful spirit) to live and die in multiple lives, so everytime she dies she comes back for more punishment. Dark Angel was a bit of a bitch. Anyhoo, this time the Titans brought her to New Chronus to serve as Goddess of the moon after Phoeve died finding Donna on Earth and bringing her to New Chronus the first time.

WOW!! Is all I can say about this series.
I hated the first issue, liked the second issue, but this issue is what made the series. Finally some answers to what is going on and her orgin.
Wow I may start reading Teen Titans because of this series
What an amazing book, easily the best book of this week

TommyV,
Not hoping, just speculating. I'm calling em like I see em and I'm betting that's what happens. I've been wrong before, but from my vantage point I'd be betting on it.
Didio did make a crack about Aquaman not going unscathed by the upcoming Crisis, tho, recently at the Wizard World Chicago con...

I'm pretty knowledgable of DCU history, but the sheer volume of tiresome exposition in this story is overwhelming even me. So, I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what's going on. Lemme see if I've got this right....
Donna is the daughter/sister/relative of the original Titans of Myth.
The Titans of Myth have resurrected her on some distant planet that used to be a Sun-Eater factory (which the Titans have taken over).
The alien brother of Donna brought the Titans/Outsiders to this planet to snap Donna out of the brainwashing the Titans of Myth gave her.
Now, the Titans/Outsiders are gonna lead a revolt against the Titans of Myth to free the people of the Sun-Eater factor planet.
Is that right?

Heh, close 3 AM. Donna and 11 other orphan kids from different planets were adopted by the Titans of Myth and raised as their children and potential heirs. One of them went mad and killed all the Titan seeds, as they were called, except Donna and Athyns her adopted brother. (Sparta, seen in the first 2 issues). When Donna died the Titans brought her to New Chronus and she was resurrected and brainwashed by the Gods of memory crius and mnemosyne to believe she is the Goddess of the Moon and Phoebe's (Coeus' first wife) replacement. Donna's adopted brother Athyns finds her and brings the titans and the outsiders to the planet she's on to try and use her connection to them to snap her out of the brain washing. XD

If you read the "Who is Donna Troy" TPB that's now out, it will make more sense. Plus, the actual stories in the TPB are very good. It's those stories that made Donna Troy the popular character she is today.

I've read "Who is Donna Troy?" and most of the other classic New Teen Titans stuff, but I never bothered to read "Who is Wonder Girl?", because it struck me as a pretty hopeless attempt to salvage the character after Perez had wiped out her entire premise. Perhaps that is the source of my confusion, but, still, did the story really require this much exposition? And, like I say, I'm no slouch when it comes to DC history, I can only imagine how newer readers must be feeling here. I understand that this is sort of a Geoff Johns fix-it/untangling of convoluted continuity story, but, sheesh....
Absolutely gorgeous art though. I'll pick up any Jose Garcia Lopez does. This guy should be a GIANT of the industry he's so freaking talented. When I think of DC's characters, his DC is what I imagine.

Very entertaining attempt at simplifying a complex character history. Nice touch using Donna to narrate her own story and explain where/how everything fits. Also, good mix of the cosmic (Titans of Myth) and the personal (TT and Outsiders). I too could care less about the Titans of Myth most of the time, but if they bring back my Donna to the DCU...I'll stand for their interference one last time. :)
I'm sure this has been brought up before but...is Donna DC's version of Jean Grey? :) IIRC, back in the day, there were tons of comparisons between TNTT and UXM and this mini is kinda bringing them back to me. Donna gets great power, destroys worlds, and kills = Jean's whole Phoenix saga. Both have died, but not really. Wonder Girl = Marvel Girl. Jean ended up with no code name = Donna goes through identities like I go through socks. :)

Well, there's still one profound and significant difference. Jean Grey was always Jean Grey, a character in her own right. "Donna Troy" was originally a teenaged Wonder Woman (Princess Diana) - she didn't develop an individual identity until somebody put her in the Teen Titans and somebody else pointed out the mistake. So an alternate identity was quickly cobbled up for her (orphan girl rescued by Diana and raised as her sister), which worked until Crisis and its aftermaths screwed everything up. Since then she's had origins du jour which have changed at random, until John Byrne finally FUBARed her completely with that "mystical mirror twin, stolen and forced through lifetime after lifetime of horror and misery" BS.
Jean Grey was never THAT completely FUBAR.

I'm sure this has been brought up before but...is Donna DC's version of Jean Grey?
Her place in the DCU is very similar to Jean Grey. I'd say that although they have different personalities, Donna is to the Titans what Jean Grey is to the X-Men.
Perhaps that is the source of my confusion, but, still, did the story really require this much exposition?
Probably not, and that's one of the weak points of the story. If you did read "Who is Wonder Girl", that's the main storyline that this mini is based on, so that's why pretty much everyone who didn't read it was confused at first. (Again, I do think #1 being so inaccessible was a huge mistake on DC's part)
