Looked very anime, and why is Scarlett blonde? I'm still seeing it if I can, bout time G.I. Joe returned to its cartoon roots.

I think it's just the vid quality. She's still a redhead. But why does she have to look so cutesy. Scarlett needs to be "grown 'n sexy"! Not japanese schoolgirl sexy!

"Looked" very anime! It IS. It's bargain basement anime, but it's anime nonetheless. I did like the Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow fight, though!

I got no sound on my end, but I just click on the link as opposed to just saving it and opening it, I'll try that and see what happens.

Were those like ultra sophisticated B.A.T.s? They looked cool.

They're called "Ninja BATs", I believe.

And I think the animation looks amazing. Scarlet doesn't look any more "young" than any other anime woman I've seen, either. She certainly doesn't look like a schoolgirl.

The animation was vivid, quick, full of action - quicker than a lot of bottom of the basement stuff; I hope the rest of it lives up to the trailer.

There are a couple different levels of BATs. Basically, remember how in the old cartoon, there were a ton of soldiers and a couple BATs? Other way around this time. Lets the Joes use their weapons and actually hit stuff.

And yeah, it is all different. I was talking to people from Hasbro about it, and you know, realistically, it's not for us. It's for the kids. Besides, I'm going to hate it for the same reason I hate the new Transformers stuff, the voice cast won't be as good. Probably anyways. I don't believe it's been chosen yet. At least it wasn't at Con.

The new Snake Eyes voice is better than the old one though.

Well, sure.

The voice talent won't be the same as it was in the 1980's.

The original GI Joe cartoon wasn't exactly high storytelling either. At least this looks like decent warfare.

The reason it looks anime is because it IS anime. It's animated by Studio GONZO, a Japanese animation studio .

I got no sound on my end either.

Looks pretty neat.

The reason why there's no sound? There's no sound on the original video. It's the video that was running at Hasbro's SDCC booth, and there was no sound on that either.

Mostly, I'm just hoping Cobra Commander and Destro sound good. But apparently, they're still voice casting.

Oh, as for the anime thing, unlike the Transformers stuff, the plots are coming out of the US, so it's basically exactly like the original Sunbow series in a certain respect. Although the dude at the booth, who actually was really involved in all the GI Joe stuff, didn't know where it was being storyboarded.

Snake Eyes spoke in the old cartoon?

I believe that the same people who did the new TMNT are doing the voices; read, 4Kids.

They seem to do better with US written stuff, as the previously mentioned series indicates.
