is blue beetle his friend?
I dont think Batman has enough people to make up a list of ten. But here are some people he seems pretty tight with:
Selina Kyle (Catwoman)
Alfred
Jim Gordon
Dick Grayson (Nightwing)

To be completely honest, Batman has no friends. NONE. He has useful tools for his various goals in life. Now don't get me wrong. I believe Bats is the man, but he has to maintain a distant and aloof relationship with those he seemingly cares about. The various incarnations of Robin and faithful Alfred have problably been the closest thing to family he has had since the death of Thomas and Martha, but the emotioncal scarring that he suffered by witnessing their death has in my opinion ruined his ability to love and care anyone. I just can't imagine Bruce sitting down and just relaxing and playing a friendly game of cards with Clark. My defintion of friend does't include someone with Batmans attitude.

The Satellite League...
Just kidding.
I would conisder them (on Mia's list) friends. Yes, he considers them tools but deep down they are friends. And whether he believes it or not, he needs them to be friends and not tools.
Bruce loses his edge on humanity often, especially lately. He needs friends to keep him close to "human."
I think Superman is the closetest he has to a friend among the superhero ranks. I believe he and Diana share a bond but I don't think it is friendship. It seems to me to be more of a mutual respect than friendship to me.

"buddies" isn't the right term to use, but if you compiled a list of ten people he is closest too...
Nightwing- His adopted son and closest partner.
Alfred- His guardarian as a child, his assistant as an adult.
Robin- His third partner, and up to this point, his best student.
Leslie Thompson- Helped him with his psychological damage as a child, and a trusting confident in the present.
Superman- His best friend, even if he won't admit it.
Jim Gordon- His partner in crime-solving.
Oracle- Despite their recent problems, they are still close.
Wonder Woman- I wouldn't call them friends, but they know each other fairly well and have good chemistry.
Catwoman- The closest thing he has to a true love (which isn't saying much).
Batgirl- Sort of by default. She is his student, though he doesn't seem to care about her all that much.
Well, there's nine. As for the tenth, I would say take your choice between Martian Manhunter and The Flash. He has a lot of respect for both and doesn't try to intimidate them as much as other heroes. As you can see, Bruce is clearly lacking in the friends department.

In order six being the one he's least close with and one being the one he's closest with.
6.Batgirl
5.The Oracle
4.Wonder Woman
3.Alfred
2.Superman
1.Selina Kyle
I had trouble coming up with ten, I just don't think Batman has that many friends. I know I left Nightwing out but that's just because I never felt how close they were in the comics, also I've never liked Nightwing.

Yeah, like everyone said there's no way you could fill ten people on a "buddy list" for Batman. He's way too suspicious of people. I'll break it down to the people he trusts and respects:
Alfred - Has known him since he was a child, has been ever loyal to him and always will be. *eyes DC* Right??
Dick Grayson - First Robin, ward and now adopted son. I believe that Batman/Bruce for all his emotional deficiencies really does love Dick as family and the closest thing he'll probably ever have to a son. He's proud of him, he trusts him, respects him and yes, loves him. Dick is probably one of the only people besides Clark that can confront Bruce without flinching. Friends? Maybe not always but sometimes family doesn't always make the best friends, no matter how much you love/trust/respect them.
Out of everyone, if either Dick or Alfred died, I think Bruce would fall apart. They both are cornerstones in Bruce's life -- whether he likes it or not -- that if they were to die, the foundations of what keeps Bruce/Batman stable will crumble. They are his truest "friends".
Barbara Gordon - He trusts and respects her about as much as he does Dick Grayson and the rest of the Batfamily. She's a trusted friend and part of his family despite their falling out after War Games. And her certainly does care for her as seen in the latest issue of BoP.
Tim Drake & Cassandra Cain - Again, standard Batfamily trust/respect. Does he trust Tim and Cassandra the same way he trusts Dick and Barbara? That I'm not sure about.
Jim Gordon: Batman respects and trusts the hell out of this man, the man who wanted/wants to protect Gotham just as much as he does. He is the closest that Batman has to a friend outside of the Batfamily and hero community.
Superman: I've always believed them to be a kind of odd pair of best friends. They don't always get along and they don't always see eye to eye. And whatever suspicions Bruce may have about Clark from time to time, when push comes to shove, I think that Bruce trusts and respects Clark the most out of the hero community. He certainly admires him. And as much as Bruce may never admit out loud, he does love Clark as his friend, someone whom he wishes he could be friends with, maybe, had his life turned out differently.
Are they friends now? Yes. In their own tug of warish type of way. Honestly the current Superman has lost the optimism that I came to look for in superman.
Wonder Woman - Make no mistake, these two have a mutual respect and trust in one another as well as, I believe, a mutual attraction and chemistry. I've seen it in multiple storylines. Friends? Yes, I believe so. I say that he trusts Diana more than he does Selina Kyle.

If youve read the end of Kingdom Come, you know batman, wonder woman superman are close, so thats 2, and of couse, Nightwing, Robin, Alfred, and oracle, so thats six, and and finally, theres jim gorden, lucious fox, and maybe ace, if he's still around. Also, if harvey dent was supposed to be one of bruce wayne's closest friends before he became an insane homicidal schicophrenic.
