There is a trilogy of graphic novels where Batman becomes a vampire: Red Rain, Crimson Mist, and Bloodstorm. They are written by Doug Moench with art by Kelley Jones.

This is one of the more 'matter of taste' books. If you like Kelley Jones, you'll love it. If you like a more 'straightforward' Batman, this really isn't for you. This trilogy stretches the 'Elseworlds' concept more than most... by the third book, it's almost not even a Batman book (without trying to be too spoilerish).

That being sai I loved em all. ESPECIALLY 1 and 2. Three was good, but (IMO) not as good as the others.

The art, if you like Jones, is some of his best.

Had a chance to get Bloodstorm and Red Rain but couldn't pull the trigger. I def think I willl now.

When it comes to the elseworld stuff, I thought Moench did a better job with Batman: Book of the Dead. It reads like a pure Bat-comic, but with added twists.

I LOVE the Elseworld stuff . I'm not saying that they are all good but it is fun to see diffrent takes on some of these characters. Speeding Bullets is one of my favs Kal el is found by Thomas and Martha Wayne Supes with Bats personalty great stuff. Gotham by Gaslight is the first so I think it is my Favorite just for opening the door for the rest. Is it just me or is Hyper time just a rip off of elseworlds?

Detective 27 is a great little elseworlds tale. I also liked Eddie Campbell's Order of the Beasts.

The Batman vs. Lobo (I guess that's elseworlds?) I love the goofball things that were done in that one. reversing Gordon and Alfreds roles just for the hell of it, same with Tim and Dick, It was just goofy fun.
