I mean damn this guy is badass . I don't know if I could ever overcome what he did through effort .

He could beat you blindfolded. (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2005-07-28-blind-gamer_x.htm?POE=TECISVA)

SFA3, I get to use Charlie and my onw style of play. Welcome to hell, because I played with an infighting style.

That's crazy. How does he know what the other person is doing?

Probably listens to the noise and discerns whats going on. It's quite simple.

unless you've got superhuman reflexes it's kind of hard to react that fast to a noise, unless it's a super move or something.

anyway, I don't see how you could possibly lose to a blind person. especially in Soul calibur of all things. he has no way of telling high, low and mid attacks apart, since they don't make unique noises. he has no way of telling if an attack is unblockable, he has no way knowing if the footsteps he's hearing are coming towards him, away from him or off to the side, since it's all gonna sound the same anyway, assuming footsteps make any noise in the game at all. same deal in Mortal Kombat. the only way to tell what attack is coming is to look at the animation. the ones that do make noise share the same generic sound effects with 100 other attacks.

so, unless he's got a daredevil-style radar, he either got lucky or he's playing against a bunch of retards

I just played a game of MK blindfolded. I won by listening to the rest between combo's and thats when I attacked. It's fairly easy.

I've heard of other blind folks doing something similar. I could probably beat him by telling him we're playing Mortal Kombat, pop in Soul Calibur and stick some ear plugs on him.

My strategy would be to loudly yell "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA". And to fake him out by tapping the buttons lightly to trick him into thinking I'd made a different move.

Same here.
I´m pretty much a button smasher and it helps me most of the time.

mortal kombat has notoriously bad A.I., try that against someone who's intelligent enough to block, sidestep or use a combo breaker on your ass.

It can't be done.

They had an article about him in either Game Informer or EGM (forget which) about him. And he does just as well in those as he does in MK.
