OK, I've been a bit pressed for time at work today, so I dodn't get as much thought in on this one as I should have, it's very off the top of my head (which sucks, because I know I had a good theme cooked up a couple weeks ago, and I lost the thought...), but here ya go:

In honor of summer and the memory of your mom screaming "Why don't you turn off that damn TV and get out of the house? It's a shame to waste such a beautiful day inside!"

Outdoor Sports

This can include outdoor games, like horseshoes for example, if you so wish.

I'll kick it off with a little of "a good walk spoiled."

I did hear once an NFL game between the Colts and the Jets being delayed because of an eletrical storm.

And a Denver Broncos games was postpone a day because of a blizzard.

Pfft...baseball. Sport full of sissies who are afraid to get wet!

You want a REAL outdoor sport, you go with NFL football. Despite there being certain "dome pansies", weather is NOT a factor deciding whether the game is played or not. Rain, snow, fog...hell, they even play in the middle of a damned hurricane.

Go hide in the clubhouse, Morts. :D

That avatar with the rain effect is sweet beyond words, but I can't begin to tell you how far it falls below really conveying how hard it was raining that night.

Well, next Wednesday, I will be up in PA and on my way to Latrobe to see the Steelers in Training Camp, so if I am not around to vote and it is close for you, make sure you go back a few pages and point out that I voted for you.

I just hope that Bill Cowher doesn't make any of the linemen cry.

Oh, and please don't kill me until after I get back from training camp.

Last wish and all.

Thank You.

Not quite true - last season the FSU-Miami game was postponed because of an impending hurricane off the coast of Miami, and played AFTER the hurricane had passed through the state.

Aww, I wanted to vote--it is still Tuesday in California. Stupid work keeping me from important things like avatar contests! Not that it matters now, but my vote would've gone to Donald M. Although I've never been cow-tipping, I live in an area where the cows out number the people, and I think that is this area's #3 pastime after getting drunk/driving tractor and popping out bairns. *sniffs* Anybody else smell that?
