Have any of you fallen prey to the madness of the company known cryptically by the name "Quixtar" over the last few months? I have. Some former friends of mine were involved with it a year ago, and it's basically a name that Amway is using to sell products online. They've been doing this for a year, and they are still broke. But they are also brainwashed. It's dangerous, people, and more and more people are being suckered into it EVERY DAY. I've been seeing XS stickers (XS is their oh-so-spectacular energy drink which happens to taste like pond scum) all over the place, including on cars with expensive spinners that the driver probably starved himself so he could afford.
I've pretty much lost a girlfriend to this company. When I asked her out I though she'd give it a little while then realize it was crappy. But no, she didn't. She's so brainwashed that, while I can give her perfectly legitimate reasons it won't work, all she retorts with is "well just come to one of the meetings and you'll see what we do." I refuse. And I remain negative about it. And because I'm "negative" about Quixtar, she doesn't think it's going to work out between us anymore. She doesn't want to break up, and I tell her, "Well then don't, I'm not forcing you to quit Quixtar, I'm just telling you it's not good for you." They may "convince" and coerce her to break up with me, but I won't force her to quit. Just an example of the kind of crap they pull.
WATCH OUT FOR THESE PEOPLE.
If any of you have similar stories, I'd like to hear them. If not, I have given you fair warning. Don't let them get their hooks into you.
