I watched TNA Impact on Fox Sports Net (I set the VCR to record it yesterday). I was impressed by the wrasslin' skills and the 6 sided ring was pretty cool. I guess this is just one long commercial to get people to watch the PPVs, but I'm not shelling out $10 for it. I guess I'll keep watching Impact, maybe one day they will get their Wednsday show on a Cable network. USA used to have Sunday Night Heat, maybe they should try it again.

Make that TWO for. I liked Season 3.
Ya, Season 1 is still the best, imo, but I do like season 2 quiete a bit and season 3 had a lot of good episodes too, imo (aside: liked the finale quiete a bit!! Can't wait to see what happens next!).
I still think Alias is a great series! Looking forward to season 4 (and hoping they don't do a complete reboot...).
Also looking forward to the dvd release of Season 3!! :)
<Make up your own mind.<
Agreed. Everyone has a different opinion. Some people like season 3 of Alias...some people don't.
So I definitly agree, " Make up your own mind." Check season 3 out and decide whether YOU like it or not. :)
Anyway, I watched Stargate Atlantis last night and I thought it was pretty good! Very cool, imo.
It wasn't Farscape great (so far), but it was pretty good. I think this premiere was prob cooler then SG-1's first episode even.
I enjoyed Atlantis alot. I'm looking forward to seeing the second episode next week!!
As for tonight, the only thing I have to watch is the Monk that I taped last night! :)
Though I may watch some Babylon 5 season 1 on dvd tonight too!

Well, I've seen season 1-5 before (when it was on TNT) and I have most, if not all, of it on tape (aside: taped off of TNT).
I only have season 1 on DVD so far.
Right now, I'm just a college student (and currently not working), so I can only get some dvds once in awhile (basically when I get some money back..).
Plus, I've been busy trying to get other sets like Angel (prob going to get season 3 for my B-day, which is Friday the 23rd), Buffy, and most recently I got the Quantum Leap season 1 set (which was great!).
So, ya, I gotta get more of the B5 dvds so far or later. Its a great series!

Let's get something straight. I never said I didnt like Season 3.
Season 3 is easily the weakest Season. JJ Abrams has admitted it as well. The network pretty much has as well. Even with that said, Alias is the only show of the ten or so I watch, that I MUST watch as it airs.
Season 3 just suffered because of amongst other things: the mandates sent from "up high" and Abrams stubbornes not to recast Irina Derevko. Waiting around for Olin obviously caused them to scramble to change storylines....and it showed. Boy did it ever show.
Doing away with cliffhangers and killing Syd's dual life life pretty changed the entire dynamic of the show and not for the better. Half the fun of the show was seeing Syd trying to balance her professional and privates lives. Killing off Francie and letting Will in the secret and writing him off the show hurt this season ALOT.
This season had alot of filler and waaaaay to much "will they/won't they" crap. They also promoted (Sark) and demoted (Dixon...and just a tad ..Sloane) certain characters that proved to be really bad choices.
As much as people hated Lauren...I acutally liked her. I just didnt like the way the writers used her. It was great to see her just be plain evil. All the cat-fighting and her relationship with Vaughan pretty much fell flat for me most of the time.
There was also some positives for the season though. It was great to spend more time with Jack Bristow. Marshall was of course a gem. The unraveling of Syd's missing time was pretty good too.
Hopefully with the new showrunners can right the ship. They have a ton of time to figure it out with the season airing at midseason.
I will be picking up Season 3 when it comes out. I will probably try to watch every last ep again before I watch Season 4. Hopefully I will do a better job than I have done with Dead Zone. I still havent watched any of Season 3 because I've finished Season One but I'm only on ep 10 of Season 2. :(
EDIT: So put in the "like" column.

I watched lots of Stargate yesterday. I saw season 6 episode that I taped on Sunday (at 12) which was pretty good (it was called Smoke and Mirrors). I also saw the Stargate at 5 and then saw the Monday maratheon.
I thought Smoke and Mirrors was really good.
The stargate from 5-10 had some good episodes. I think the best one was at 8. It was about a bounty hunter who catches the SG-1 team and gets them to help him catch somebody else. It was very good. The bounty hunter had some pretty funny lines.
Anyway, tonight all I have is Stargate SG-1 at 5 (thanks goodness for SG-1, otherwise I'd have nothing to watch on TV some nights..).

I watched A&E's Biography of Ed Gein last night. Gein was a grave-robber and murderer in 1950's Wisconsin. His acts served as the inspiration for Norman Bates in Psycho, Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. Chilling stuff.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9 4x01 & 4x02 The Way of the Warrior
I came in about a 15 minutes into the first ep. Reminds me why I like DS9 so much.
CSI 2x06 - Alter Boys
It was pretty good. I've only watched at most 2 full eps of CSI and I liked them both. Perhaps I should watch more.
The New Beachcombers. A tv-movie revival of a famous old Canadian tv series that ran from about 1972 to 1990 or so. Anyone who grew up iun Canada during that span has seen it. In my house we all watched it rteligiously Sunday nights (along with the Irish Rovers show - Sunday was a great night for tv back then). Anyway, the actors who played three of the most important characters are dead now, so this new movie has moved on to another set of characters, and I thought they were all pretty good. They all look good, in an individualistic way, not the bland, cookie-cutter sort of good looks you see too often on tv. Kendall Cross, the actress who plaed villainess Kat Reynard (Relic's heiress!) in particular, is a knockout with excellent screen presence and a lot of character in her face. Dave Thomas of SCTV plaed the father of one of the new characters. And Francoise Yip (of Rumble in the Bronx, Black Cat, etc) has a smallish role as the new RCMP Constable. Anyway, I liked it. It managed to capture some of the quiet charm of the original show, if not the humour and the sharply-drawn characters. If it turned into another series I'd watch it. I have read that they're making another tv movie with the same cast.

On Friday, I watched 2 reruns of Stargate (with the seven o'clock episode being the better one, imo) and a new episode of Stargate and Stargate: Atlantis. Liked both of them.
Also recently, I got the Angel season 3 dvd set and I've been watching those episodes.
You know, season 3 of Angel is still great. Its prob the best season of Angel over-all (aside: though I do like Season 5 quiete a bit, the series finale just sucked, imo, and the show deserved much better. So I think season 3 is prob the better season).
I am only on disc 2 of Season 3 so far. I just watched Billy yesterday. So I think I have two more on that disc.
I liked the Billy episode. Fredless was pretty good to.
Can't remember if it was Fredless or the episode before it, but I think one of my favorite parts so far of the episodes I've watched is Cordy and Wes's impersonation of Buffy and Angel! LOL!
" Kiss me! "---Cordy
" Bite me! "---Wes

I watch a lot of ER and Law and Order cause there are repeats on every weekday. ER's always on for 2 hours straight, and Law and Order can be on for like 7 or 8 hours in a day. Just on one channel that is. They have SVU running on USA.

From the pilot through the movies, that's when!
haven't seen the pilot yet...it's on que at netflix...however, season one is severly lacking...the guy who plays sinclair is a terrible actor...he's so stiff they could bottle him and he'd be the new erectile dysfuction cure of the week...the dialogue is...well even for 1994 it's very melodramitc and over wrought...it's like everyone is avery brooks in their delivery...and that ain't good...it ain't subtle that's for sure...i will cede that the characters are interesting...though i think from what i've seen thus far...there an obvious earnestness too establish a "look"...and it kinda detracts from what's happening...giribaldi and ivanova kick ass...but the others...i dunno...they seem too stereotypical...i will also cede the cgi...the sequence w/ the fighter deploys are very nice... a friend of mine said they used commadore computers for the fx...that totally blew my mind...well that and for someone to actually make a commadore reference.

I've been watching Six Feet Under with my wife on DVD that we rented. I've watched most of the first two seasons (damn wife couldn't wait on me a couple of times and watched episodes without me) Overall it's a good show. The second season left off with a cliffhanger about Nate's fate (please don't spoil) I don't really like all the gay sex scenes, but the rest of the show usually makes up for it. If they would even it out more with hetero sex scenes, or lesbian scenes, I wouldn't gripe. But, they have A LOT of gay sex on that show. Oh well, I'm looking forward to renting the 3rd season when it comes out on DVD.

The MONK season finale. Monk takes medication that cancels out his OCD. Unfortunately it also cancels out everything that makes him the keen observer his friends depend upon so much. Much humor and some genuinely touching scenes.

I thought the episode was somber even before the cure. This was probably the first time we saw Monk truly unhappy with the way he was living his life. And then there was his late wife Trudy, living and loving, if only in his imagination. As I said, there were some very touching scenes.

As for Monday, it was Stargate night. I saw some pretty good episodes. There was one at 8 that I liked quiete a bit. It was called, " Window of Oppunity " (sp) and it was a repeating time episode! I like repeating time episodes alot and this one was alot of fun! :)

I watched Medical Investigation, mainly because of Christopher Gorham (who was Jake 2.0 last year) and it was o.k. The lead guy (who was on Boomtown) was a little too intense for me, but I guess they were trying to show how tense his job is. Jake had a good if short subplot, the NIH Media Relations chick was pretty hot (a point they played up), and the resident Jake helped was cute too. Liked the mystery, but the medical stuff was beyond me. A procedural with well-defined characters, but not sure if it's my kind of show.

I saw the first episode of Medical Investigation on Thursday and I just saw the second episode yesterday (I had it taped on Friday and hadn't watched it yet).
So far, imo, the show is really good. Acting, writing, etc. I hope it keeps it up! I think Neal Mcdoungh is a really good actor (he was great in Boomtown and I like him here too) and the rest of the cast seems good too. Stories are really good so far imo.
I also saw Stargate and Stargate: Atlantis on Friday. They were good.
Oh and I saw Jack & Bobby last night. I watched it because I read an article at Newsarama that made it sound interesting.
It was a bit interesting (liked the twist at the end), but I'm not sure if I'm going to continue watching it. Looks like it could just end up being standard WB soap fare. Though, I do find the characters interesting, so I don't know. Haven't made up my mind about it yet (what did everyone else think?).

i really like JoA...but i think it's baiting the shark a lil bit...after that really good scene w/ kevin in the lawyer's office...they follow it up w/ the showdown at the football field...i almost gagged when they started chanted that girl's name...<shudder>...and grace hooking up w/ luke is also shudder worthy.

I don't konw I thought it was appropriately goofy and it's not like it accomplished anything. The garden was still bulldozed as it probably would have been in real life, but at least the kids got to feel a little rebellious. The scene with Kevin in the lawyer's office was fantastic. This is one of the few shows that can take me from laughing to tears in a minute, and Jason Ritter is showing himself to be an amazing talent.
As for Grace and Luke? Best plot line this season. The two of them have some amazing chemistry and Becky Wahlstrom is just captivating.

in a nutshell...i find luke to be really irritating...but most importantly because grace is a great character in that she isn't cookie cutter...i like grace because she's misanthropic and joan challenges her in that respect...to have her go all ga-ga over luke feels like a rip, cuz besides adam and joan...she basically doesn't socialize...and it took her almost an entire season to get chummy w/ joan...so for me it just doesn't seem right that she's bracing for a great romance w/ luke...anyhoo...watching south park and watched lost earlier.

I like that the ultimate anti of the show is basically head over heels, whether she'll admit it or not, for the big doofus.
Oh and I watched the stunningly good episode of Lost, then the Red Sox game because Kevin Hill was a repeat from last week due to the damn debates.

and you don't think that a bit of a rip??...i could stomach it if say it were mid-way through the third season...but it seems like they put so much effort to create a character like grace and then suddenly she's in love and it deminishes the work they did to make the character stand out from everyone else...anyhoo...i have to say...lost picked up for me in the 3rd or 4th, depending on your preverence, episode...it's good to see david fury landed somewhere.

Nope, I dont' think it's a rip because she is fighting it tooth and nail and it still inspires some great material for Wahlstrom to perform.
