Did anybody see Justice League Unlimited this past weekend exploring Batman's destiny? Rather interesting, I thought.
Was that Andrea Beaumont as the Phantasm who was sent to kill Terry's parents?
Terry's Dana knows that he is Batman? Well, talk about having no secrets. Did she find out in the BB series? She didn't know in "Return of the Joker" so when did she learn his secret?
What do you think of Terry McGinnis being Bruce Wayne's "son"? Could open the door to a new Batman Beyond series. Married adult Terry as Batman getting ruthless. Talk about family values.
Was that the last one in the series?
Nice to see Bruce living to a ripe old age of about 90+.
What did you think of the last JLU story line?

1: Yes, that's Phantasm. Nice tip of the hat to long time fans.
2: We never found out when she learned he was Batman but as this episode takes place many years after Batman Beyond ended, it's not too much of a surprise.
3: It's an interesting theme about legacy and how much nature shapes our destiny.
4: Just the season finale. JLU will have a whole new season with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and all the rest starting up we don't know when yet.
5: I don't know as the last JLU storyline hasn't aired yet.

Yes, that's her, though it doesn't make much sense to have a 90 year old woman still running around in costume.
Terry's Dana knows that he is Batman? when did she learn his secret?
She learned "off-camera".
What do you think of Terry McGinnis being Bruce Wayne's "son"?
I hated that. It was unnecessary and contrived.
Was that the last one in the series?
Last one for this season. Another season is being prepared right now.

He made soup. But it got cold.

truth to tell, I didn't care for the eppy much- it just seemed unneccesary to me; the black and white sequence was hard to follow- I did like the royal Flush gang hough.

This one took place in a flashback, so I'd estimate closer to 50's, perhaps 60's at most.
Here's a question: did the black-and-white scenes with Terry actually happen, or were they possibilities of what he might have done had Waller not calmed him down?

They were possibilities, just Terry's thoughts. In the Batman Beyond post, somebody said Bruce Timm cleared it up.

Sometime in the fifteen years between Batman Beyond and this episode.

I don't see how lame or contrived it is. People seem to think that this cheapens Terry as a character and ruins Batman Beyond, but I think people need to look at the bigger picture. It doesn't matter what Waller did. Terry was and is Batman because of him, and him alone. Not because of his genetics, not because Waller wanted him to. Terry chose the life of Batman of his own free will, and it's his own strengths as an individual that make him the right man for the job.
This episode made a powerful statement about who Terry is. And about who Bruce is. And about who Batman is. And in a way, Bruce doesn't end up alone.
It was beautiful. Especially the scene with Ace. I really think people need to look beyond the "gimmick" of the episode and see the real story being told.
And don't tell me I'm the only one that appreciated the nod to "On Leather Wings" at the end.

I know what you are talkin about. Only prob with that is the fact that it looks like it would be the last epi, which I thought for a couple of days.

I agree, I couldn't put this better myself. Another thing that people have forgotten as well is Terry's Brother. He has the same Genetics but never became Batmanesque. Terry did this on his own free will. Terry has heart and this is what makes him a hero and not his genetics.

It's lame that the idea was introduced in the first place. The whole thing is paper thin.
Waller randomly picks a person to birth Wayne's son so Batman could live on, then drops the project, but then he becomes Batman anyway? The entire plot was pointless. It didn't change anything at all. It just adds the coincidence that the guy who happened to take on the mantle of the bat just happens to be the product of a plot to create somebody to take on the mantle of the bat.

I think the story was trying to say that Terry is Batman, genetics or not. It about the choices we make, that really creates us.

Terry's Dana knows that he is Batman?
I was kind of supprised to see her at all. I alwasy thought she was kind of a shallow character and wondered why Terry kept persuing her.
I actuallly thought that Terry would hook up with Max Gibson in the end.

enjoyed the line by old Bruce, "Kent called, nothing apopolithic. just wants some advise on a case he 's working on. Said he will meet you on top of the metro tower!"
Wonder if Bruce is envy that superman is still out there chasing down the bad guys,
Or is kent mad that bruce can be retired and he has to be still out there duking it out with the bad guys?
