I don’t want to spoil the plot as the issue is only two days old but the theory regarding cities as living entities in need of sustenance legitimately scares the #### out of me. Seriously on a list of what frightens me the most Ron’s proposed theory scares me almost as much as Joker/ GW. (Like I’m the only one that has pictured what our Supreme Court appointed leader looks like with bleached white skin and green hair.) My only fault with this issue is that the monster/ghost/infernal demon that is responsible for feeding New York should have been shown as far more terrifying and intimidating than he was portrayed in this issue. The creature should have been conceived along the lines of what you would find in a Japanese horror movie or anime.

If we spooked you, Lester, then we did our job.

I just wanted a weird, spooky story, something to match the art style Chris brought to the issue. And, to be honest, a story that might not have a pat ending. Not everything ties up in a neat little package.

I loved what Chris did art-wise, personally. Just some out there stuff, and a really cute Sara. Wait 'til you see his pages for the Anniversary Special.
