I am in awe of Howyadoin's Barhopping. (But alas, apart from the occasional imbibing, I'm a teetotaler).

You need to get out more.

In all fairness, I've been to every bar in Montreal.

But comics, once you find one that gives you a discount, you ride that sucker until it dies.

He can't. He's an accountant...I think that it's against the law. I think that he is regulated to one store for fear that he might want to do their books or give them an audit or something accountant like.

Or this might be the reason, too.

I'll have you know accountants are fun, sociable, gorgeous people.

Yes, that was a lie, but it sounded good.

Okay, I'll take a quick stab at it:

2 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (Outlands and the Comic Hunter).

2 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Maybe 4 in Halifax, Nova Scotia (including Strange Adventures).

1 in St. John's, Newfoundland (which I can't remember the name of, even though my cousin owned it).

Only 3 here in Vancouver, 'cause I found the best one (Golden Age Collectibles) first.

And 1 in L.A. that Punchy took me to.

You forgot Dexter's Comics in Laurel, MS. (which by the way was the original in Hattiesburg and Laurel) It later became the Clubhouse 2 after being purchased by the owner of the original CH in Hattiesburg. Then the owner fired us all, and i was the youngest employee there at age 8-9.

Lone Ranger - This might be of interest to you if you ever went there but Odyssey 2000 shut it doors late last year, early this year.

On another note, howy, there's a new store in Halifax called Quantum Frontier.

the stores i remember going to:

the same guy owned a store that moved from cathedral city to palm desert. the sign jjust said "comics" on it. it's gone now

there was another store downtown palm springs that i HARDLY remember going to, and for sure don't remember it's name, but it was there. that one was gone by around 1990.

the first comic store i went to i believe was called "rialto comics $ coins" or something of that nature. downtown rialto. closed down maybe 5 years ago.

i went to 4 color fantasies on free comic book day, i would like to go again and check the place out when the crowds are gone, but it is so far out of the way. it's near my grandpa's house but every time i go to see him i get sidetracked. it's also by another work location of mine and i drove right past it several times while working but never made the time to stop

other than that i'm sure i have been to comic shops in san diego, in fact i'm sure of it, but can't remember. next time i'm out there i plan on hitting at least one though

oh yeah! there was one in texas i used to go to, can't even remember the name of the town. i spent 2 or 3 summers there when i was little. everything was overpriced except for their 'nam comics, which was all i bought there

Dark Horizons...

We have a comic book store...?

I kid...I have been to 2 here in Northern Ireland...

I have been to most of the ones in Vancouver, if Forbidden Planet counts then I have been to most of those in the UK as well as a few smaller shops dotted about Great Britain...

I think I hit one in LA...and several in Calgary...

And I'll be going to the ComicCon in Toronto at the end of August so that kinda counts doesn't it...?

One of the fun parts of being on the road is getting to see all the varieties of comic shop. From the indie paradise of Star Clipper in St. Louis to the very definition of hole in the wall seemingly everywhere else!

I recently got to go to Dirt Road Comics one town over from West Plains, MO, that serves as a sort of home base for Russ Cochran's endeavors--sometimes you hit a gem!

The folks who've been to Arkansas--any good shops around Forrest City? I'll be there next week.

Silver Age Comics, Astoria, NY (terrible store, creepy employees)

Damn, I was actually intending to check that place out (for the first time) this weekend! Nevermind now...

Living in New York, I've been to most of the comic book stores on Long Island and the same for Manhattan.

I thought I was the only one who likes to hit comic book stores when I'm travelling!

I've been to stores in North & South Carolina's, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, California (San Fran), Michigan, Nevada (Vegas!) and two in Paris, France.

I've been lucky that the majority of the stores have been nice, clean places w/friendly staff who love to talk COMICS!
