Soooo....what happened to the 616 Mimic? I heard in Wizard he died again (geez, he dies more than Jean!!).

He was only ever on an X-team for, like, five minutes in the mid-'60s.

Regular MU Mimic isn't really hero material.

Hasn't been seen since UXM #379, I think. He was with the Brotherhood of Mutants, and the High Evolutionary's anti-mutation wave wiped out the genetic templates of the original X-Men from his body. We don't know where he's been since, or if he regained his powers (though since Rogue got Ms. Marvel's back, he probably did).

He hasn't been seen since Uncanny X-Men #379, when he was shown losing his abilities to the High Evolutionary's anti-mutation wave, or whatever it was. When the wave was disabled, he supposedly regained his powers, but had lost the retained abilities of the five original X-Men.

I didn't understand his sojourn back to the dark side... the Calvin from Excalibur #124 seemed like he really admired that crew, and wanted to belong. He seemed humbled- having grown out of the arrogance that had marked his first appearances

Why the hell did Wizard say he was dead then? Stupid Wizard. I think Mimic keeps flip-flopping to the evil side cuz Onslaught frakked with his mind and his influence hasn't been erased yet. I think he'd be awesome on Excalibur!!!
