First, one piece of info provided. The Exiles are not in a position to put Morph back on our world yet. The machinery is on the fritz and they can't access Earth 616. Also, they don't know how to reverse the unhinged from time thing yet.
Dr. Strange is still hanging around with Heather while the rest of the team is on Giant Monster Earth, helping the Science Squad, Curt Connors, Bolivar Trask, Henry Pym and Tony Stark. It seems this Earth have a lot of giant monsters. They've figured out that some are pathogens, bad giant monsters, and some are antigens, good giant monsters. The antigens sometimes fight the pathogens or take care of some other problem, while wreaking havoc on the world and causing property damage and loss to human life. The Science Squad takes out the pathogens and tries to save as many lives from the antigens as they can.
Krakoa is an antigen. The problem is it is attracted to the Exiles' mutant energies, which is causing it to veer off from its mission, which appears to be to take on a pathogen, Fing Fang Foom.
Meanwhile, at Timebreaker central, they discover that Kane, who had been killed and is in stasis has gotten better. They let him out because his healing factor might be able to help Mimic. However, Kane, who was killed by Sabretooth, kills Dr. Strange and is looking forward to doing the same to Sabretooth.
Also, a neat trick, the aircrafts of the various members of the Science Squad can join together and become the Red Ronin (created by Bolivar Trask). The Red Ronin is about to engage Fin Fang Foom, while waiting for Krakoa to get there.
Good solid issue. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Oh please, please, please, by all that's holy, tell me they yell "Form feet... and legs! Form arms... and body! And I'll form the head!" before they join together.

How stupid was Strange letting Deadpool (not Kane) out? Actually, how stupid was it of the Exiles to let Strange do whatever he wanted with people he knew nothing about? Also, Deadpool vs. Heather & Beak next issue? That won't be pretty.

Dr. Strange didnt know any better. On his Earth, there was no Deadpool. And besides, they need his mutant healing factor. I thought it was awesome when deadpool snapped Dr. Strange's neck. Totally wasnt expecting that. I thought the Earth with the giant monsters was pretty interesting. The whole antigen and pathogen things was really cool. I wonder if they're inability to access Earth 616 has anything to do with the effects of the House of M.

I have no doubt that HOM is the reason they can't contact 616 right now. I was very happy to see deadpool after being annoyed that they teased him last issue and he didn't show up. It's good to see what appears to be a serious deadpool so far aswell with the deadpool in c&d being as far from serious as you can possibly get.

Somebody was watching a Godzilla movie when they wrote this arc.

I can only hope you're right, and that House of M lasts a long, long time. The less the Exiles get tangled up with the mainstream mutant-junk going on, the happier I'll be.
They've got THOUSANDS of alternate earths to visit--why go slumming?

Sorry to tell you Calybos, the Exiles will be dropping into the HoM altered 616 from issue 69-71. Which I'm rather eager to see, considering it's not the usual 616 universe, being that it's a woogied reality. :)

Funny I was thinking about Ultra Man,especially after seeing the "Science Squad"uniforms but I guess nobody remembers the Science Patrol from the Ultra Man series.

This issue of Exiles was the best X title that came out this week. I loved the explanation of how monsters work on the world that Blink, Sabretooth, and Morph are on. I love how in played around with the feeling of older giant creature movies! It was a hoot.
And just when I was thinking that a budding romance would soon be blossoming between Surgeon Strange and Heather Hudson, Stephen goes and does the dumb act of letting Deadpool out. I'm sensing more blood to be shed the next issue (Goodbye Heather perhaps?).
Anyhoo, out of the lame House of M, the just not up to standards Astonishing, and maybe another title that I overlooked, this Exiles was by far the best X title out this week.

That was one of the more hilarious panels of the issue! I also loved the Fin! Fang! Foom! Despite the poor family that bites it, I was rolling when I read those pages. This issue put the humor back into the series despite all the bad things that happened.

this is actually the first issue of Exiles i've REALLY enjoyed in awhile! like bedard's team dynamics are really coming back. only thing is i still hate sabretooth, but the rest of the issue was really good!
i hope the team gets some new blood soon though.... since my fave characters nocturne and sunfire left, it's not been as fun!

I wouldn't mind some new blood, especially since Heather is now non-powered and Beak will probably not being playing an active role, even if he sticks around (not that he ever did).
What I'd like to see is sending Thunderbird to Earth 616 where he could be with Nocturne. (Though, I see no reason why Nocturne can't be sent back to her Earth of origin.)

Hey now, Beak did a lot of stuff. Look at the Ego the Living Planet issue especially. If it hadn't been for Beak, that mission would have been a failure. Beakums contributed, even if he wasn't a virtual powerhouse. :)

For a second there, I thought maybe Kane would become a new member and was really shocked when he snapped Strange's neck!
This book been consistently good since it started.
