With all that is happening to the Bat family with the Crisis lurking does anyone else get the feeling that Bruce's time might be up. I mean with the Spectre now host free, Batman totally alienated from all sources of friendship. Is Bruce Wayne's life as we know it over? Hmmmm........

Well from what I have seen on the October Solicitations, Batman is NOT dying before IC.
But he did get his ass handed to him by Superman this month in the Superman titles.

Can't see Bruce Wayne going anywhere. I hope that after the crossover the bat family seriously shrinks. I would prefer that Robin and Nightwing be the only family.

I wouldn't mind if Selina was brought in closer to the family.
Hell, if what is shown on the Nightwing thread here. Nightwing might be out of the fammily.

I guess none of you have heard the rumor that, since the post-IC Gotham will be ruled by Luthor and his cronies, Bruce Wayne will be giving up the mantle of The Batman and running for the president of the US.
There's also a rumor that Jason Todd, in lieu of his recent comments in the last installment of "Family Reunion," will become a new, murderous Batman.
These are all just rumors I've heard in a couple of places. Nothing's been confirmed or even hinted at by DC.

You know Batman would toss a Batarang at Spectre's grill if he tried someting like that, yo!
Seriously, I don't see how or why they would do something like that.

Since these aren't your ideas and you are just the messanger I can safely say: GOD I HOPE YOU ARE 100% TOTALLY WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! On everything!
Bruce as President? Jason as Batman... and a killer at that?
Horrible ideas.
I don't mind character advancement, but there's no way Bruce would step down as Batman for a murderer... it goes against EVERYTHING he believes. Just as there's no way he'd leave Gotham... his mission isn't finished. If he wanted a political office to do good in I think he would run for Mayor... but to have to deal with world issues is so out of character it's painful to think about.

SDCC? Rumor columns? Creator boards? Fan boards?
I'm just trying to get a sense of relative credibility, here.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lex ruled Gotham afterward but why would Bruce abandon his mission, especially to DC's version of the Punisher.
The only person I would accept as Batman is Bruce.

I'm so sick and tired of all this "speculation" of what will happen to Batman/Bruce after IC. Bruce Wayne is Batman, Batman is Bruce Wayne. The End. This would be INCREDIBLY stupid on DC's part to do ANYTHING like this. Bruce Wayne has been Batman for well on 60 years. To change that now, would be one of the biggest mistakes comics have ever made. Ever. The most I can see happen to Batman is that Huntress leaves, Catwoman gets a little closer, Cassandra leaves, Nightwing and Tim distance themselves just a little, but are still very close to Batman. That's all.
Nothing personal agaisnt Escobar, just the idea in general.
