If notice the first issue of every arc since Milligan has took other have a similar look that pays homage to the Star Wars Episode 3 poster:

I think its an awesome idea. Now, in 10 years I'll be able to look back and see, without having to even look inside, who the writer was and where the arc started.

I like that so far the run has a similar theme.

I don't like the design on a floppy, but I do like it on a paperback or a hardback cover.

Yeah, I reckon it's pretty cool.
I hope he keeps it up with his next arcs.

I've noticed that pattern too, I think its okay, its nice to see the title differentiating itself from the others. Some of the covers that conform to the pattern are better than others - I think the second one displayed in the first post is much more striking than the first, for instance.

Despite that, I think easily the strongest cover on Milligan's run so far is the Emma with red eyes cover, which didn't follow the pattern. Also, while I don't think Foxx looks particularly good on her solo cover, its another strong image that doesn't stick to the black border pattern.

No problems with it.
