Unfortunately it's only a design concept but it would be amazing! (And insanely expensive)

Looks nice enough, but please produce one in that split ergonomic form, I love those keyboards, they're perfect.

It wouldn't be that expensive...
Heh, that reminds me. You are aware that the standard US keyboard is designed to slow down typing, right? When typewriters were first invented, people could type faster than the keyboards could process...so they came up with the now standard layout. Experts estimate that the optimum layout could triple your typing speed.

Very true, that ergonomic split I mentioned is the best. I can type very fast, but with a keyboard like that it's even easier.

You know that keyboard might just be the coolest thing ever. It's like...sci fi!
OK, now I know I'm a nerd.
When I saw the name I thought it was going to be based on Optimus Prime.

You double posted almost 2 hours apart?! That's some really bad lag.

Well I'm used to playing MMOs where if you initiate an action and it doesn't happen automagically it's called lag.
I think we both knew what I was talking about.

Heh...I went to make dinner and the four year old helped herself to the keyboard. So it is her fault! Not mine :)

A cool idea... But then again, why have pixels on your keys when you could have a touch-screen?

A cool idea... But then again, why have pixels on your keys when you could have a touch-screen? because touch screen doesn't give. Touch screens are bad for rapid typing. Which brings me to the point of the Optimus.... keys look a little chessy... you get this expensive board and the keys start sticking within a month. And the smooth completly flat keytops will make it harder to get used to... Plus as others said, splitable keyboards are better anyway. Probably be chaper to buy five keyboards with their respective layouts preprinted and a keybord switch too.

Exactly! I only use ergonomic keyboards. They're good for my fragile wrists, and they make me look cutting-edge and slightly excentric.
Of course, asking for an ergonomic version of the Optimus keyboard is like meeting Santa Claus and asking him to dress up in designer clothes.

I know I know. I wasn't in a good mood last night and I was just being a prick ;)
I usually call it lag too. Especially when I'm playing Battlefield 2 and the server starts lagging as soon as I'm about to waste someone.

that would be very cool. I love the idea of having pictures in the keys. Gamers would love that especially.
It looks very retro to me. Reminds me of some of the older commodore keyboards - only skinnier.

I'd love to have one of those.
