I was picking up this weeks new issues today, and I was looking around the quarter bins in the back of the store, and I found a copy of NYX #3. It's in decent condition except for a small crease on the bottom of the cover. I was so excited, I'd been looking everywhere for a copy I could get for maybe $20-30 and now I was able to get one for 25 cents! So, that got me to start thinking, what're some of the best finds people have ever had in quarter bins.

Best "Quarter Bin" find I got was at a garage sale. I was looking in a book of comics and found Uncanny X-Men #12-17 for $3 total. They were in pretty fine condition. Ended up buying just about the whole Original Run from 5-66 for $60.

I bought every issue of identity crisis in a quarter bin, and my friend bought 32 issues of doctor spectrum

Ive gotten a bunch of stuff from 50 cent bins. I only got two issues from a quarter bin before. New Mutants Annual 5 (which was boring), and Cable 100 (which sucked because it was the Nuff Said month). oh well.

...you overpaid.
;)

Anyway, found UXM #266 (first appearance of Gambit) for 50 cents in an old toy/comic store. Don't much care about Gambit, and not the best condition, but it plugged up that hole in my collection nicely!

I got the 1st issue of X-Force in a 50 cent bin.

What, you thought it was just a clever name?

And 50 cents for X-Force #1? Was that recently, or back when it first came out? Big difference. *wink*

My favorites....

Wolverine (mini series) #3

Magneto #0- Which I recommend to everyone here. "Fire in the Night" is the best Magneto story I've ever read.

X-Factor #87- The psychiatrist issue. I bought this for 50 cents at a convention, and then got it signed by Peter David. And it's a great story too.

X-Men: Days of Future Past TPB- I already had a reprint of this comic in Wizard's Best of the X-MEn TPB, but gave it to comic book reading friend of mine.

Wow that is a great find!!!!

I found the X-factor Annual where Jean and Rachel meet... not worth much but I'd been looking for it for years and it was one of my happiest moments.

Yea I wasn't sure if it was the real deal until I started talking to the person who bought them, it was a 40 something yr old guy who said he loved them as a kid but didn't really care about it anymore and had no kids to pass them on too so he was selling them. They are being well taken care of and I keep them seperate of the other Uncanny issues I have and I'm trying to get 1-4 through E-Bay which isn't hard but man is #1 selling for a ton on that, 2-4 aren't too bad.
