Paul Heyman If you hadn't heard Is In OVW taking over It awhile. Frankly lets ask ourselves who Is left that could run OVW ? I mean by process of firing mostly everyone the last few years......theres few guys left who can run Production on this type of show as well as do storylines. Granted Dreamer Is a guy who can do It all....

The Dudleyz don't sound too happy about the WWE not moving forward on resigning them. WWE.Com reports that the Dudleyz won't respond to Interview requests and D-Von Dudley has said he would never reply back.

They Dudleyz are expected to face Matt Hardy & Rhyno , Aug. 28th at a card In King of Prussia , Pennsylvania.

Speaking of Matt Hardy his site said today Is his Indiependance Day. That his WWE No Compete Clause Is over and he's expected to work this weekend for Ring of Honor and TNA. Thats from his site....


Matt Striker ( the guy who Is gainin fame for screwing the New York Public School system as a teacher) Is expected to be on RAW tonight. As well as Smackdown. Hmm I wonder what he'll do ?


Frankie Kazarian worked a Pro Wrestling Guerrila Show this past week. Kazarian Is still waiting to be called up to a WWE Show to work. Least he Isn't being forced to cram WWE Style up his ass.

In TNA News , the Super X Cup will be held at the August PPV and there Is work to start a TNA Website show like the old WCW Live that followed WCW Nitro back In the day. Jeremy Borach Is working on It.
Now onto RAW.....


The Good : RAW started off with Carlito Cool and his Cabana. It looked funny and there were a few Carlito fans In the crowd. Carlito wanted to have Shawn Micheals be his guest and out comes.....Jericho !

The 2 Insulting each other made me laugh as fans sided pretty fast with Chris Jericho. Chris however makes the mistake of saying his show Is the most orginal on RAW. This brings out suprise shock number 1#.....RODDY PIPER. Looks like Piper's Pit will have Shawn Micheals and as Piper said: " The Truth will come out !! "

Carlito does however plug his big rematch against Shelton Benjimen as usual. Should be sweet .

Gotta give my props to Tajiri. Guy worked the best I've seen with Chris ( I'm lucky I wasn't fired) Masters. Of course fans weren't happy with Tajriri losing and ECW Chants started up.

Hey did anyone else see that dude holdin up that ROH sign ? Yep...that made It...

The Shelton Benjimen / Carlito IC Match was slow. I mean Shelton's a great worker and all but poor Carlito Isn't there yet as a wrestler. Its a classic example of a guy who's " there" as a mic guy. Where the other guy Isn't . And where he lacks as a wrestler where the other guy pretty much reigns.

Backstage we see some wierd foreshadowing as Edge and Lita watch thier aborted Wedding. They comment about Matt Hardy as Snitskey Is addicted to women's feet. Thats funny....

Then Cena/Jericho Is added as the Main Event of Summerslam ! Hell Yeah !! Jericho gets 2 Main PPV's spots In a row. Write It down people....Jericho Is actually getting a Main Event push after 3 damn years! Nice mic battle as Jericho puts down Cena's attire and Cena wisely doesn't call him a " Phony" anymore. Yeahh...smart thinkin Johnny boy. I don't see Y2J posin as a hip hop star.

So we get that made as a Main Event and I have to say....what a good fued starting here. And no HHH. Thank god.

Backstage Edge & Lita...HOLY F-CKIN SH-T Its Matt Hardy!! He's back....the MATTITUDE IS RISIN people. He then gets Involved In Kane/Edge and steals the show as fans finally get what they have demanded since March. Hardy punks Edge as the WWE plays It as a straight shoot, arresting him as Hardy swears about the WWE kissin his ass and tries to plug his ROH appearance! They drag him off as Jim Ross plays It as a shoot. DAMN....now thats an angle!!

This could make Hardy a Main Eventer If they portray him as being bitter and anti-WWE. In fact make him ant WWE all the way as he hates the company. Yes...sell him as being pissed as he's showed online!

Damn that HBK speech was Intense. He wants to prove he's better and that Hogan Is mortal. That he can beat him. And that line with Piper......Brrrrrr. Hogan/HBK could be special .

Piper goadin Shawn was pretty sweet and sold the Shawn Micheals heel turn. Even though HBK's playing the remorseful heel here , he's gonna be heel gold and could slide Into a fued againt Cena ! This could be a very good wrestling year for us. Hardy back....HBK/Cena and Jericho gettin a push. Damn ....




The Bad: The RAW Diva Search continues to stink up RAW . They voted some hot piece of ass off. But who cares....really....who gives a crap. Its so scripted as you watch Its little to do with Reality !

In fact ask yourself this...If It was real....how scripted was that Referee lowblow and Christy bump tonight ?

OVERALL: **** Outta 5. Yeah the matches for the most part sucked. But we saw storylines move forward and Matt Hardy's shocking return. I think Its a fued the Internet helped build lol. Damn who woulda thought the WWE would actually book by the net ? 1st JBL/Meanie and now Edge/Hardy !

The Michaels promo was lackluster and he didn't even do a heelish style promo. It just sucked. I gave Michaels a chance to leave a good impression for once but he failed again. Very lackluster. Piper was his usual self.

Cena and Jericho was basically Cena ranting and sounding crazy. His Y2 cheap crap isn't over and the fans weren't as behind him as usual. Nice work from Jericho though. I feel a feeling that Jericho will win the WWE belt at Summerslam. Thank goodness.

Chris Masters? Yeah right. No heat, no reactoin, just plain boring. Period.

Shelton makes his return in a return IC title match and as usual he comes through with another A grade performance. Great counterwrestling, dominated the match, and let Carlito get some decent offense for one as limited as he is. I loved the suplex reversals at the end and I figured Benjamin wouldn't lose for no reason so he had to win by DQ or countout. Where this is heading is still anybody's guess?

And of course Matt Hardy returned. I was LAUGHING so hard. He got the reaction he deserved, he's back for a Summerslam match with Edge, and his comments about Lita being a whore were beautiful. Go Hardy Go! Edge STILL suck though.

As for the Divas thing? The only thing watchable was the Layla girl doing the low blow heel turn on Hebner. A 8.5/10 for the Shelton and Hardy returns and no HHH.

Really..If the WWE was smart they could have Matt Hardy show up...everywhere. At ROH,TNA PPV's and all. Have him be the new Brian Pillman. He's pissed,angry and wanting Edge. His name is big now only in as much as he is in this angle, if he went to TNA he'd be "That guy who we didn't really care about when he was at WWE, he got fired and we never got to see the feud that would make him interesting."
Hardy, in WWE right now, is in a top story, which is different in how it came about, and in that theres no belt involved.
This is sorta like if bret hart came back to WWE to wrestle shawn micheals.
It wasn't as cool when he was in WCW, but if he went back to WWE, it woulda been huge.
Now, heres a thought i had.
What if some of those people who got fired didn't really get fired?
What if they come back, with some newly signed folk, under hardy and we get some weird version of Invasion?
Would certainly push newer guys.
That won't happen of course, but it'd be neat.

The Hardy thing looked so Shoot I almost thought it was real.

I wasn't even convinced that was Hardy until he got on the mic. They didn't show his face until then, and he's bulked up a lot since the last time he was on TV. I seriously thought a guy dressed like Matt with a beard and long hair attacked Edge in the back. I thought the same guy did in the ring until they finally got a good shot at his face. WWE has worked this angle so well, the fans (myself included) are crazy about it. Seriuiosly, when was the last time anyone was excited over an Edge feud or a Matt Hardy feud? This match could seriously be the Raw main event at Summerslam and the fans would accept it. Of course, there's HBK/Hogan and the WWE Title on the Raw side of things, so that'd never happen.

Despite the only good match of the night being between Carlito and Shelton Benjamin, all the talking was really well done. Piper's Pit was great, watching Carlito and Jericho going off on one another was great, Cena and Bischoff were great, and Matt Hardy's return was both great and unexpected. I didn't even hate the Diva thing. Something's wrong here!

If it was a shoot, they didn't mention anything abiout it on their website becuase they don't want to give Matt Hardy free publicity or they're mad at him for ruining one of their segments. But it obviously isn't a shoot (the angle tonight, not necessarily the entire backstage relationship problems). WWE's trying to play it off like it's a shoot. This makes the regular fans happy because an unscripted-feeling psuedo-shoot is more exciting, and it makes the internet fans happy because we get to figure out exactly how much of it is a work.

But security almost beat Matt in the ring, hell it seemed like they were coming out of the rafters and out from under the ring, I think I saw a security midget jump out of Edge's pocket! It was definitely a work.

I didn't think it was Matt at first either because he's bulked up so much. I thought it would be like the intro music during the wedding, just another swerve by managment.

I think you missed the point, whether it's because you don't like Michaels and refuse to give him any credit at all, or if because the promo may have been too subtle for you. Personally, I thought it was about as close to the 'truth' as a wrestling promo gets. HBK has done a lot attention getting bits, and this new mini-feud with Hogan certainly qualifies as an attention getter. It would certainly appear that they've gotten Hogan signed to some kind of short term deal, and who better to have him go up against? I'll even go so far as to say that (if he was willing) putting the title belt on HBK makes as much sense, if not more, than either keeping it on Cena or putting it on Y2J.

I haven't been following it too closley, but that's the first thing I've heard, that if true, makes me think the story really is legit. Even with it being brought up at ECW, I'd figured the whole angle was a work, just from the one promo Lita did where she was suppossedly talking to Kane, but it was made to seem like it was really directed at Matt. If this really happened, I just can't imagine Matt and Edge really working together in a ring.

I haven't been following it too closley, but that's the first thing I've heard, that if true, makes me think the story really is legit. Even with it being brought up at ECW, I'd figured the whole angle was a work, just from the one promo Lita did where she was suppossedly talking to Kane, but it was made to seem like it was really directed at Matt. If this really happened, I just can't imagine Matt and Edge really working together in a ring.

I wasn't even convinced that was Hardy until he got on the mic. They didn't show his face until then, and he's bulked up a lot since the last time he was on TV. I seriously thought a guy dressed like Matt with a beard and long hair attacked Edge in the back. I thought the same guy did in the ring until they finally got a good shot at his face. WWE has worked this angle so well, the fans (myself included) are crazy about it. Seriuiosly, when was the last time anyone was excited over an Edge feud or a Matt Hardy feud? This match could seriously be the Raw main event at Summerslam and the fans would accept it. Of course, there's HBK/Hogan and the WWE Title on the Raw side of things, so that'd never happen.
Same here, I thought it was just another set-up by Edge and Lita.

I haven't been this geuinely excited about Pro Wrestling in YEARS! If the WWE is working the 'Net on these stories, what else have they done recently that's a work. Hmmmmmm...? Makes you wonder if all of those roster cuts are real or not.

The unpredictability is back. Not having every single storyline and acquisiton spoiled by the "IWC" is back.

The Angle match was a little sloppy with a rushed ending, I wasn't impressed.

I think that the writers and Shawn aren't trying to do a full heel turn. They are trying to write in such a way that after this feud with Hogan, Shawn will turn face again. We all know the only reason he's a heel in the first place is because Hogan wanted to wrestle him at Summer Slam.

Its just that every Promotion needs that " Big Evil , Bully " to play against. For ECW It was naturally WCW & Bischoff. For Ring of Honor Its the Jarrett's and TNA. ;)

Lurking around to see the Matt Hardy reactions different places, good to see some people here still are brave enough not to let the facts get in the way of their beliefs. On the TNA PPV:

I had been so disappointed with TNA for so long, I had to completely give up on it for a few months. Bad wrestling, bad booking, bad wrestlers at the top of the card. I did say before the last PPV if AJ won the title and Abyss didn't win the #1 contendership again, I would give them another shot. TNA, unfortunately, only lived up to half of the deal but I figured I might as well check out Joe's debut so:

Red vs Delirious vs Prime Time vs Gowen vs Shark Boy vs Jerrelle Clark

Total spotfest and not a good one a that. Why is Elix still down here? He's more talented than this. I guess it's good to see Delirious get an exttra payday, and Jerrelle Clark is damn athletic.

Alex Shelley vs Shocker

So someone figured out "Baby Bear" wasn't going to get over? Good job. Pretty good match, but there were a few miscues and walk-thru's during the matwrestling that diminished it a bit. Nothing amazing but still, pretty good and I hope they keep working together.

TERRIBLE match. The less said the better. Killings deserves more.

Team Canada vs The Naturals

Is the name "The Naturals" supposed to be sarcastic. The only person in the match with some clue was Petey, and I'm not a big Petey fan at all. Bad match and very forgettable.

Samoa Joe vs Sonjay Dutt

Spotty match with no real flow. Joe kills Sonjay with his moves, Sonjay makes a comeback with his typical moves, etc. It served it's purpose of getting Joe over as a monster, but not a match or matchup I'd want to see again.

Lance Hoyt vs Bobby Roode

Surprisingly good match. They kept it simple and focused on pacing. It's a match format we've seen a billion times, but it still works. I wonder if Test can sue Hoyt for gimmick infringement though.

Three Live Krew vs AMW

Perfectly average match you can expect from K-Dawg and Road Dogg. Nothing incredible, but nothing to complain about.

Sabin vs Shane vs Daniels

Pretty good match for a triple threat, but it picked up when it turned singles of course. The catfight in the middle seemed very out of place.

Sean Waltman vs Raven vs Styles vs Abyss vs Monty Brown

Open with a bad spotfest, close with a bad spotfest. This one was all over the place, but considering how the match is set up that's no surprise. Just barely watchable. Raven taking the belt finally is good though, I just want to know why they gave it to Styles for those few weeks.

Commentary/Crowd/Backstage/Vignettes/etc.

Commentary was a terrible as ever. That one guy having a constant heart attack for every move, blown calls, and the endless WCW-like ass kissing. Someone wake these guys up and tell them that a bit of humor and sarcasm and less sycophantic over-acting is the style of commentary for today.

The vignettes are still ineffective and way to long. They need to fire that voice guy.

The backstage stuff wasn't interesting, and I have no clue why people claim Monty Brown is great on the mic.

None of these things added to the program one bit, only took away and took away a lot.

Not impressive over-all, in fact pretty bad. Not so terrible that I'd never watch again, but it certainly doesn't get me excited to see what they're doing next. But their booking has improved slightly, with Shelley and Joe being in and not being screwed up (so far), and Jarrett not having the title, and Daniels going strong. Can we please can the endless gimmicked multi-person matches? Throwing 6 wrestlers in a match with some appliances does NOT make a match a "classic", sorry.

Despite the only good match of the night being between Carlito and Shelton Benjamin, all the talking was really well done. Piper's Pit was great, watching Carlito and Jericho going off on one another was great, Cena and Bischoff were great, and Matt Hardy's return was both great and unexpected. I didn't even hate the Diva thing. Something's wrong here!

On CM Punk & Ring of Honor: He admits It was good to put Punk on the map with his fued. That he enjoyed working for ROH but sadly once he became a free agent the other money offers always was better than what ROH could pay and ended his run there.


On his Early 90's WCW Career: They were gonna make him the " Ric Flair " of the 1990's and was being groomed for a big run In the company. Thats why he got the Cruiserwieght title so fast as Scotty Flamingo. Then once Cowboy Bill Watts walked In , his push dissapeared overnight!


On what Title Is better to hold.: Raven put over both the ECW World Titles and the NWA World Title. He essentially said that Douglas had never lost the NWA World Title and that ECW may have carried part of It as Its lineage. But he enjoys being NWA World Champion finally and Is happy to have beaten some old demons.


On what he has planned: He plugged his ROH " Secrets of the Ring " Tapes because he wants to teach young wrestlers now. He hopes these work In helping them. He also plugged his Dog Collar match against Abyss and future sexual exploits.

The Heart Throbs: Have a funny heel gimmick and are getting over. They have mic ability and thier dancin,lovermen gimmicks sell them. Plus RAW needs Tag teams.

You can say that the company must have some kinda Salary Cap system In place to let talents go and sign others.

The Heart Throbs: Have a funny heel gimmick and are getting over. They have mic ability and thier dancin,lovermen gimmicks sell them. Plus RAW needs Tag teams.

Danny Basham: Him and his brother need to be kept as a team. I'm not a fan but the WWE needs tag teams.

Scooty Too Hotty: Bring back Grandmasta Sexy and you have Too Coo and a team to go against the Heart Throbs.

Funaki : We need someone backstage to Interview guys with bad english and all. Imagine him Interviewing Cena and him accidently calling John Cena a poser....by accident... :D

And some of the other guys Vince keeps out of either loyalty, like Bob Holly, or homoerotic attraction, like Tomko. When I first read this I was going to disagree, but after thinking about it for a minute, I think you're right. Maybe they should think about giving him a manager to handle the mic duties while Benjamin gets more comfortable.

wrong, matt is going to be used to get edge even more over as a heel, once vince gets his mind set on who he is going to push it's over, look at jbl. after fued with hardy jobbing to edge, hardys gonna get burried, that's what i think.
I seriously doubt it. Why waste all this exposure just to put Matt down? It's not like Edge is Mark "I won't job to nobody" Callaway. He could easily go down in a gimmicked brawl at SS without lossing much credit Or even have Matt lose due to Snitsky (and maybe others, like Angle), and security getting involved?

EDIT: I read a really good pitch over on LAW, book a nothing match at 'Slam, have Edge come out on Raw, and instead of his scheduled promo, cut a "shoot" one on Matt, daring him to show up and settle things at the PPV, Vince then makes a statement the next week apologising for this and makes it clear that Matt does not work for WWE and will not be at the event. Then, during the dud, cut to the two slugging each other in the parking lot, no wrestling moves, just a subtly worked brawl. JR can sell it as not part of the show and have the road agents, and maybe even Johnny come out to break it up and cart Matt off again. You get the PPV confrontation, but don't blow off the Pillman heat Hardy has. Then you can keep it tipping over til Survivor Series maybe, with Vince and Bischoff relenting and giving Matt and Edge time for an "unsactioned" match.

Lance Hoyt was on Between The Ropes Radio show and talked about TNA , Kid Kash and this phenom called: HOYTMANIA.


On TNA's TV Situtation: The guys backstage are being kept In the dark about It but everyone has faith In the company. The DVD Deal, new Toy lines , and bringing In TV Producers to work on TNA Impact has everyone excited about the future of the company.


Kid Kash and his Exit from TNA: Kid Kash never told him he had any problems with TNA and he respected that. He made It between him and the company and It caught Lance off guard seeing as how thier a week away from the Lockdown PPV. But he understood It when Kash sit down and talked with him and hoped It wouldn't hurt his chances In the company.


HOYTMANIA !! : It began slowly. Fans would wear these shirts after a Kash/Hoyt match on a pre-show of a PPV. Fans were shocked at how good Hoyt could work and started to get behind him. Now he has a section of fans In thge Pit who wear HOYTMANIA shirts and cheer him on. He's happy with It.

The WWE had planned to pack In a special collectors set for ECW:One Night Stand and The Rise & Fall of ECW. Instead due to huge sales thus far on ECW:One Night Stand DVD wise , those plans have been scrapped.

The WWE Intends on pushing Stevie Richards as Big Stevie Cool again and his page on WWE.Com reflects It with his membership In the BWO.

Joey Styles has came out and declined that he Is currently writing about his work In ECW and ECW. Styles claims he doesn't have time to even read a book let alone write one due to being a father. Styles does say he will be taking part In a future WWE:Rise & Fall of ECW Book due out. As well as handle requests for Interviews by WWE writers of future books.


The WWE has decided to freshen up WWE.Com and work on making It a bigger part of what they do. The company has added the worked " Matt Hardy/Lita " exchange on WWE Byte This and the Brock Lesnar report about his new contract talks with Vince McMahon.

Kane will be at the San Diego Comic Con promoting his future WWE/New Line Pictures release: Goodnight.

I won't even deny Shelley Is a talent. Paired with Shane Its a great team. But AMW Is still...the best Team In Wrestling for a reason. 3+ Years and thier still up there. Thier matches are always memborable and even though Storm has little mic skills...thier still good.

Granted theres talent In almost any Indie you go to. But someone can say that XXXX Is the greatest and how many without buying a ROH Tape or without buying that Indie's DVD will know ? TNA Is on a semi-National basis and they get more fans knowing who AMW are than The Briscoes or Havana Pitbulls.

Not to say they aren't talented but most mark magazines will say AMW Is the best team and has been for X Number of years. Like last years Main Event of TNA:Turning Point where they stole the show with XXX.

Well TNA isn't even on TV anymore, they're on the internet and you can see most of the teams I named on the internet too.
