Again, SPOILER!
Does Alex Ross let the cat out of the bag on the future of the JLU in his Newsarama interview (http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/Justice/Ross_Justice02.html)?
"One of the weird things going on with our series is that we’re fortunate we’re getting rolling this summer, just before the new Justice League Unlimited cartoon series starts up with their new episodes by early next year, as they’ve been working on a long storyline that’s effectively doing exactly what we’re doing – the Legion of Doom versus the Justice League."

I think he's talking about the Cadmus arc. And if you saw the end of Panic In The Sky, you saw that the villains of this arc are really the Luthor/ Brainiac team.
But look at some of the villains for the Cadmus arc. Luthor, Brainiac, Bizarro, and Solomon Grundy.
All villains who were on the Legion of Doom.

Wow! I just realized that the white women in purple jumpsuits from the last episode of JLU were the Super Twins! I figured they'd have to be Super-Friends related with Samurai, Apache Chief and Black Lightning there, but it never dawned on me until right now.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before. At least, it sounds familiar. Although I'll be damned if I know how they're going to stick Brainiac and Luthor on the same team together. Although I guess if they just have Luthor make Brainiac totally subservient to him, it might make sense.

sans the Bat-villains appearing in "The Batman"
I would like it if they brought back the royal flush gang - from an episode that CN still hasn't repeated (I heard it was banned).

Banned? Really?
I hate how so few Batman TAS villains have showed up... lets see Joker and Clayface, is that it? :( And yet all the obscure Superman TAS villains have.

Joker, Harley, and Clayface have had big roles, Firefly and Poison Ivy have had small roles.
Personally, I wanna see Ivy get a power upgrade and get an episode as a featured villain.

It's Official!!
The Legion of Doom returns (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0507/16/jlu.htm) next season!
Plus other goodness like the Legion of Superheroes and Hawkman! WOO!

Hawkman! WOO!
About f***ing time.
The report on AICN says there's going to be a direct to video Superman movie too.
Cool news about seeing the Seven Soldiers.
We've already seen Shining Knight, Vigilante, Green Arrow, Stargirl, S.T.R.I.P.E., Crimson Avenger (I think) so that leaves one more...
Spider maybe. As an undercover agent for Luthor. Plus it'd be funny to see him and Green Arrow together as the two Archer guys.

We got the Clock King this year. Be nice if Warner Bros let them use like one Batman villan for the Legion of Doom. Like Scarecrow or something.

Dude, it's not like they had a choice in the matter. there are far more villians in the DCU to have to re-use Batman's, anyway.
Besides, most Batman villians tend to lose a lot of their meanace when they face off against guys like Superman, Steel, and Captain Atom.

If Joker can be a big threat to the JLU, than so can Ivy and Riddler. It's all on how you use the character, not how powerful they are.
Not using the Bat-rogues takes away a lot of what makes the animated DCU special. We get rogues from every other hero, but without Batman's, there's a gaping hole there that needs to be filled. It sucks that we get to see every Superman villain from Darkseid to Toyman yet we can't get a Poison Ivy story or a Scarecrow story.

Darkseid isn't technically a Superman villan. He just was used in the animated Superman show because they could find too many cool Superman villans.
We could count Deadshot who started as a Batman villan. I remember seeing KGBeast one time. Oh and Professor Milo. I'm sure there's a few villans that Timm and Crew could polish up that The Batman show won't touch.
Surprised we haven't seen Captain Cold, The Weather Wizard or even the Mirror Master in the JLU cartoon. The Flash has a pretty good rogues gallery.

The Clock King is the one Bat-villain who's shown up since the Bat-embargo began; but then again he was originally a Green Arrow villain, not a Batman one, so maybe that's part of the reason he was allowed.
Frankly, the Bat-embargo hadn't bugged me too much as long as the League was facing off against independent villains. I do wish Ra's al Ghul could appear, since he could pose a serious threat, and since "The Batman" does not seem to be using him at all.
However, now with the Legion of Doom on the horizon, the embargo irks me a little more. We're going to have a massive assemblage of DCU villains, but no Joker? And granted, most of Gotham's villains aren't likely to be real team players, but it'll be strange when these episodes hit DVD in several years, and every Batman villain is absent because there was some other Batman show on TV at one time.
Surprised we haven't seen Captain Cold, The Weather Wizard or even the Mirror Master in the JLU cartoon. The Flash has a pretty good rogues gallery.
Weather Wizard had a cameo with the Superman Revenge Squad at the start of "Hereafter." And presumably Mirror Master will appear eventually, because an action figure of him was on display at SDCC.

I'm pretty sure Heatwave has been confirmed for an appearance, as well.
In a way, Mirror Master appeared in "Eclipsed"...but it was really an actor playing him in a commercial, along with actors playing Captain Boomerang and Heatwave.

Well Milo, Deadshot and KGBeast showed up since the embargo (which I think was put in place when JLU started.). Yeah but no heavy hitters.

Apparently they wanted to use Ra's Al Ghul to tie it into his appearance in Batman Beyond.

This was the man reason Joker was never in the Legion of Doom in Superfriends. They used Toyman instead. Scarecrow was the sole Batvillan I think. But now he's off limits thanks to the movie.
You are right. I hope Warner Bros could let them use somebody. Is it a big deal if Joker shows up in one episode. Heck how about the Riddler? He doesn't even look like the Riddler on The Batman.
Still they could always use Promethus or someone along those lines. I think Klarion the Witch Boy is safe.

I only remember Kalibak, Parasite and Toyman. But it's been a while since I've seen that episode.

I want A Captain Atom vs Monghol fight. Atom is just below Supes in power and it would be a great fight to watch. all we ever get is supes fighting him. Even the opener with WW and bats degenerated to supes and him.

pt. 2 of "Wild Cards" has:
1. Batman vomiting and getting beat up by Joker
2. Joker beating Harley Quin
3. Ace beating down Joker
It's aired only once in the U.S., or maybe twice and that's it the whole time that CN was airing repeats of "Justice League". I've never seen it, but I won't lose sleep over it.

I know Sinestro and Metallo are supposed to appear.
Which is a good thing. Metallo needs a better reappearance than an episode like Hereafter.

I think they might be able to use Harley Quin, since she's closely identified as a Bruce Timm/Paul Dini character, and the team on "The Batman" might shy away from thinking about doing redesigns (they're fond of that, aren't they?). On the Toon Zone forums, Timm has said that they (staff on "The Batman") could use her if they wanted to, but he wouldn't know if they had plans. Also, the crew on JLU would prefer to use her with the Joker, but now (IMHO)that there's a shortage of Batman villians on JLU, we could see Harley pop up in a seat on the Legion of Doom.

Hugo Strange appeared and they had further plans for the character but he had to be removed from JLU because of The Batman.
Any other villain you see is one that The Batman is not using.
They got away with Grundy once on JLU but since he has since appeared in The Batman, I don't think they can use him again.

Yeah, Hugo Strange got replaced with Dr. Moon, a Wonder Woman villain (from the Dennis O'Neil era, when she a jump suit and wore go-go boots. Genius. :D ), and last appearing in Mike Barr and Alan Davis' Joker-Catwoman 2-pt. arc in Detective comics.
So it looks like we'll see Joker appear, along with the Outsiders. If they're not using Harley Quin in The Batman, then she'll pop up in JLU.

They have a better reason than that not to use Grundy: Bruce Timm has said his death in "Wake the Dead" will be permanent this time.
