Me too. I'm a little lost, and wondering how this ties in with the Crisis, but I like it. I'm following Zatana ( my 2nd favorite super heroine ).

It doesn't. Its not going to tie into crisis. Some of the stuff in it is suppose to be used after crisis is all over and everyone jumps ahead one year...

Ok. Now I'm even more lost. But I still like it. :)

Yay! I don't feel like such an idiot anymore for also feeling lost!
But I do like Seven Soldiers, even though I'm only following the main books, Zatanna, and Mister Miracle (when it comes out). It's clever and different, two things I look for in all things :D
My only problem? The amount of time between issues of the same hero(ine). But Zatanna! YAY!

Dan Didio said this series is not in continuity.
I am beginning to understand what is going on. The seven soldiers are supposed to find the seven treasures to destroy the sheeda. So far the Shining Knight has the sword. I suspect that Guardian is going to get the Caudren (I believe that the mobster in shining knight was one of the original newsboys.)
I think so far Shining Knight (My God, the art in that book is magnificent!!) and Klarion are the best.

Does that mean Zatanna's after her father's books?

That is my guess, I am not sure. But I bet the book is one of the ageless, indestructable treasures.
Although both Misty and Klarion now posses magical dice.

All Grant Morrison books are pretty.

See, that's what I thought from the beginning.
But people on Message Boards kept telling me, no, this will be a new status quo for the heroes in those books to be used in the DCU.

I love all of the books so far...my faves are Guardian and Shining Knight. I read in EW (I believe) that the Klarion book is very important to understanding the entire event.
Never read anything Cameron Stewart has done before, but I love his art. Great stuff.

I love Seven Soldiers. As for whether it's in or out of continuity, I think we need to wait and see. Didio has made some vague comments that hint that it's not in continuity... or that it's not tied into the other big minis that lead to Infinite Crisis... or that he was just dodging the question. (My memory of his comment was something like being asked "Is Seven Soldiers tying into Inifinite Crisis?" to which he answered something like "Not everything we do is tied tightly into continuity"... or something like that... which may mean anything he wants really)
Morrison on the other hand has made comments that indicate that it may be in continuity, or it may be in an alternate dimension, but he has tied it directly into his JLA Classified arc (of which there is no strong proof isn't in continuity) and has indicated that one of the main reasons for writing it was to reimagine marketable versions of obscure characters... which wouldn't make much sense if they weren't in continuity to be used some time in the future.
My guess is that they are in continuity somehow, we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out over the next couple of years.

Because before the series came out, that is what Grant Morrison indicated. He said he was updating these characters for DC future use. But when Didio was asked last month at a con he said, "Not every book DC publishes is in continuity."
I find Klarion rather boring, but I hope it gets better. Especially since Shining Knight went from from boring to very interesting in #3. Generally I like the series.

I may be mistaken, but when Grant Morrison was made "Revamp Editor" or whatever title he has now, didn't he mention that Seven Soldiers was originally non-continuity, but now part-way through the series, plans have changed?
Plus, the villain Neb-U-Loh in Seven Soldiers was also in JLA: Classified.

Morrison hasn't contradicted anything yet, so I don't see any reason Seven Soldiers has to exist in its own continuity. The only glitch was the two very different Shining Knights running around, but Morrison has even explained that one in the last issue.
Thus far, Klarion The Witch Boy has been the only series that hasn't interested me yet. Everything else has been wonderful.
