Welcome peasants, to my thread. I am humbly asking for your opinions on the upcoming "Crossover" event, which places the Normal F4 with the Ultimate F4 in the same book. Your dark lord believes this will be a interesting read, and I personally look forward to how the two Things react to each other. Let me know, or I shall enslave you all.

I'm just back from a long absence from comics, but I liked the idea of the Ultimate timeline, and am concerned at hearing of this. Will there now be some way for characters to travel between the two timelines whenever the writers wish?

I am admittedly uninformed but it seems important to keep the two well defined from one another.

Was this actually confirmed? I thought it was only hinted.

They probably wouldn't visit the 616 FF, but probably a group similar to the 616 FF. I might pick up the first issue of the arc and see if i like it enough to buy the rest.

Well considering that the ultimate line is bascially the same as 616 but with body piercings and tattoos a strong divide has never really be established to being with.

Welcome peasants...I am humbly asking for your opinions...Your dark lord believes....I shall enslave you all.

dark lords are never humble...that said, i have a really bad feeling about this. Even if this story is great, it just opens the door for all kinds of garbage involving the interaction between the two lines down the road...i can already envision a "ultimate" relaunch in the near future...

"sorry loyal readers, ULTIMATE fantastic 4 was just one of a plethora of teams residing in different dimensions, this is the REAL team…"

whatever...

that said, maybe the next reincarnation of the marvel universe will kick ass…

or the next…

or the next…

My guess is this isn't going to be 616 fantastic four and i say this because why would reed need to contact another universe for help? what is so special about ultimate reed that 616 reed needs to contact him. and doesnt this other reed make some grave remark about his world being in danger. with miller being so coy about it i have to say i dont think this is 616 reed otherwise miller would just come out and say it. i wouldn't be surprised if it was just someone from the ultimate universe messing with reed or just an alternate universe reed richards or an imposter posing as an alternate universe richards looking to mess with the ultimate FF. also doesnt the following issue deal with magneto or something. correct me if im wrong here.

616 i think is for some reason a big draw for reality jumpers.

My humble guess? The Ultimate 4 are going to interact with the movie 4. The cover seems to clearly show the actor playing Mr. Fantastic. Just a guess. And really, not a bad idea for a twist.

***************SPOILERS**************

Okay, I just read the first 2 parts of "Crossover", and I have to say that its pretty freakin' cool! The big reveal at the end of part 1, was intense, even having read a short preview about this story in Wizard. Then part 2--crazy!

Seeing all the Marvel heroes (almost identical to the regular Marvel Universe, basically) as hungry, infected zombies was pretty amazing and horrifying at the same time. The horror film fan in me loved every minute of reading this.

Anybody else read this yet? If not, I suggest getting it. It's definitley worth a few bucks.
