Excellent column Rich, a breath of fresh air. What I don't get is why there are power struggles at DC? Everyone has a job, everyone is well paid. Why can't they just work together so DC profits and everyone looks good and gets rewards (he asked, naively)?

I'm guessing the power struggles are due to DC being owned by Time Warner, and movie studio types want to run DC differently, even though they're apparently beating Marvel these days?

You could ask the same of many, many, many groups of people - non-profit groups, corporations, small and medium businesses .... some people just aren't capable of behaving properly and playing well with others.
