How would you like to read a brand-new, action-packed, single-issue tale of everyone's favorite webslinger from back in the day when Peter Parker went to high school, worked for the Bugle and spent every ounce of restraint on not knocking Flash Thompson to the moon?

Check out this week's Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #5, the first of my done-in-one, original stories of those early years that don't contradict continuity but don't require a PhD in Spidey lore, either. Think of it as "Untold Tales Light".

You can check out the first few pages HERE (http://milehighcomics.com/firstlook/070705/masman5cvr.html)!

Love your work Sean but I just can't get excited about out of continuity, "back in high school" Spidey stories. :(

But if you ever write in-continuity Spidey tales, set in the present time with Spidey & MJ married, Peter being a teacher instead of working for the Bugle etc, I'll buy those!

This looks great.

I've gotta also compliment the artist on his excellent facial expressions.

...The Marvel Adventures books are in continuity? I know they don't really contradict anything, but I didn't know they were supposed to be in continuity, either.

Or is this more like, "they could be in continuity."?

As long as they don't contridict anything and they are good I consider them in continuity.

I guess so.

Right. It doesn't take place in the 60s, but otherwise it could fit. I read through ASM 1-30, AF 15-18, the official Marvel index and Marvel Saga, so I am definitely paying attention.
