Here's a little trivia for you that you may not have heard but I found it pretty amusing.
You'd think that somebody like Genghis Khan would have been slain in battle with an oversized axe or speared through the neck but guess again...
He fell off his startled horse whilst hunting and died from internal injuries.
Is it wrong to laugh?

I knew this already.

Saw it on the History Channel from their The Conquerors series. Is this something that we can call an ironic death or just misfortunate?

And here I heard he died while having sex. Although I don't think the two are necessarily mutually exclusive.
As for Genghis, I knew this as well. Although, he was in the middle of a campaign, and news of his death was delayed until the campaign was successful (even Mongolian nomads new the power of successful propaganda)

Didn't Alexander the Great die of a cold?

And centuries later, he was reincarnated as Catherine the Great . . .

Can't remember what the disease was, but I do remember that it was affected by his massive drinking, which had been brought on by the death of his lover/general Hephaestion. In fact, he was still planning Hephaestion's tomb when he died.

You do know that's an urban legend, right?

I believe it was malaria that he picked up in India. The booze didn't help, though.
