"Vandross died at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, N.J., said hospital spokesman Rob Cavanaugh. He did not release the cause of death."
EDIT: I feel bad about the title. Too abrupt. My apologies.

Considering how long he's been battling illness, at least he's out of pain now, you know?

The man had a wonderful voice. Godspeed, Luther.
Damn shame. I always suspected he had an unhappy life.

Considering ive never bought any of his records ive always enjoyed his songs whenever it came on the radio because he had such a great voice. Its sad to see him leave so early. :(

Damn. Next to Nat King Cole and Barry White, nobody did better make-out music than Luther. Rest in piece, sir.

I summon the sad song!
Why is that?
Just a general impression. He always came off as deeply wounded somehow.

I'll introduce you to Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers and Al Green.
Luther Vandross had an outstanding voice, but I found his music too polished to where it lacked emotion. Regardless, it is unfortunate such an esteemed soul singer has passed away. Farewell, Luther.
