Ron's interviewed at Newsarama about his run on Witchblade so far and what the future holds for the title:

Apparently you lost a fan by getting rid of the T&A though Ron. :)

That's okay; he gained one here. ;)

Bought Witchblade #80 (Greg Land cover) at the Midtown signing; mostly because the Captain likes it :) and it wasn't bad. It was nice to see Ron write in a 21st century-Earth setting for a change, I must admit. Never read the book before, so this was all new for me - it's got a kind of Buffy-like vibe to it. The art I'm not as enthused about. I don't like Michael Turner or Marc Silvestri and I don't like the legion of imitators they've spawned. The ink line is so brittle and a little eerie-looking. All those picky-picky little lines look so unnatural. Regardless, this is pretty good. It never hit me that WB's been around as long as it has, and for a comic with a female lead, one has to admit that's quite a feat.

Rich, I dunno if you picked up WB #88 at the signing, but I think it shows just how far Mike Choi has come as an artist. WB #80 was the third or fourth issue Mike had EVER drawn, so he's still learning even now ... and his learning curve is pretty incredible. WB #89 is another step up from #88. I can see a bit of a Jim Cheung or Steve McNiven influence right now, which is obviously okay in my book.

I only got issue 80. I wasn't aware that Mike Choi had such little prior experience, but if you say he's gotten better, then I'll buy a few more issues and see for myself.

Oh yeah he's gotten much better. Some of the recent issues have had some great fillins though!
