I'm not going to lie to you. It is one of the best Superman stories I have read in the last few years. The artwork is gorgeous... totally worth it.

There aren't many arcs that I will collect both the trade and the issues. This is one of them. The trade so I can read it whenever, and the issues to collect dust in my long box, hoping they will increase in value.

I imagine this story is out of continuity now.

So?

A good story is a good story.
And before anyone says otherwise... I haven't read it myself, so I can't defend it:tongue:

Pass. Granted, it's a bit more interesting today than it was yesterday, given it has Superman working as a cop in Kandor (foreshadowing what's going on right now), but you should save your money for something that's genuinely good instead not so bad, which is all this is. It was the beginning of the decline of all Superman books (Joe Kelly's run just before this is criminally underrated and sadly tarnished by his horrid run on Supergirl) as Austen followed right afterwards Artwork is very Turner-esque (which is not a compliment) in being bodybuilders and playmates in poses and not so much storytelling.

I'd recommend you get one of the 90's Superman trades that have been coming out recently before this.

And there's no reason this is out of continuity as two Kandors existing has been established.

The only thing I can recall about the story was the horrid artwork. And that the issues all had back-ups because the lead features were all short of the usual 22-pages. I'm assuming that was because said horrid artist wasn't fast enough to draw 22 pages a month as he was from the Michael Turner school of art.

That and the back-ups were preludes to the new creative teams that were taking over after the arc ended.
