There should be a Fantastic Four section in the Marvel Comics Forums. Being that the Fantastic Four are one of the oldest super teams around, I think they deserve their own section. I mean the friggen' Hulk has one! How many titles does he have... Oh yeah last time I counted ONE! The F.F. have their main title, Ultimate F.F., and various spin-offs. So please CBR Gods heed my call, and give the Fantastic Four the justice they deserve!

Someone has brought this up before and the answer was no. Maybe after the movie they'll make one, but for now I bet the answer is still no.

there should be a section to suggest new sections because it seems every two days someone does so

New boards aren't created because characters or titles deserve them. They're created because there's enough conversation to justify that action.

I think there would be enough conversation, with the new movie coming out, and the comics.

Oh, and by the way, bones mccoy, that was very cleaver.

Is there that much to talk about FF wise after 40+ years?

And until then, Jonah has said he's happy with the way things are set up.

The only reason there should be an FF board is because there is a Hulk board. But then, well...

Yeah but have you read the hulk threads? They are just grasping for straws.

Franklin was grown up - he was one of the Fantastic Force - he was then returned as a child by Reed's father - so maybe there was a long period of time with him being away and he was returned not having aged flight of the navigator style? :D :D

Actually the F4 should get their own form.

There are three successful Fantastic 4 books (Fantastic 4, 4, and Ultimate Fantastic 4.) Mark Millar, and Greg Land will be starting a twelve issue run, beginning with a high profile story which may or may not lead to the first crossover between the 616 Universe, and the Ultimate Universe. There's going to be an upcoming Thing series by popular writer (on message boards) Dan Slott. There's a high-profile upcoming movie. Doctor Doom is one of the most popular villains in comics.

But I guess the best way to get a subforum for the F4 would be if there were more threads about the F4.

If more people started talking, they would make one. Discuss, and it will come.

Meanwhile, isn't this a great time to make yet another request for a "Sports" forum? :) Every conversation and sub-conversation regarding any single sport is relegated to the same 50 page thread on the Comm board. It just seems like a lot squeezed into a tiny space.

There should be a Squirrel Girl forum. She gets talked about alot.

As ED points out, the way a new thread gets started is by the amount of discussion of a particular character or topic. There is rarely much discussion of the FF on the MU board, however. If you are among those who want to see an FF thread, the thing to do is to start getting some good conversations going about JMS' run on the title, Ultimate FF, the various minis, the movie, etc.

is this acutally in contuinty the reason or did they just never age him?

Also Hulk was part of the FF once. Alongside Spider-Man, Wolverine & Ghost Rider.

Anyone know where I can find a site dedicated to that version of the Fantastic Four?

I dont' think they're considered actual members (former or otherwise) of the FF. But that was a fun storyline; didn't that "new FF" get back together later? I can't recall.

Anyone know where I can find a site dedicated to that version of the Fantastic Four?
There might be something about it on www.ffplaza.com (http://www.ffplaza.com) .

No if there was a forum more people would talk. especially with the movie a month away.

I have to admit when I first logged on I had to check that I was in the right section and that I did not miss something. I figured that there had to be a mistake with the Hulk having his own section, but not the FF.

Very interesting...

I understand some of the concerns with not wanting dead sections, but if the Hulk can survive, I would think that there would be ample amount of discussion to fuel a FF section. That's the whole reason I came to this site in the first place. I was looking to ask some questions about the FF and which book is the best on the market right now.

If FF hasn't picked up steam yet, it should with all the events coming...

So - if you had to buy only one title which one would it be?

Also, could someone sum up the differences & strong points between the Ultimate Line, FF, and 4? I'm trying to decide which one to purchase - and due to budget constraints I can only go with one (maybe two, lol)

I've been wanting a FF forum as well but it'll probably never happen.

I gotta give my vote to Ultimate F4. Especially with the creative team of Millar and Land coming on board. Get on now. My reasoning...

1) It's fun and interesting to see the team closer to their origins. They are still discovering their powers and what they are capable of...

2) They're something like 18-20 year olds. They're not even drinking age and yet they are going on adventures so intense you'd almost have to unwind with a strong beverage. I like how they are sort of thrown into all of this madness and have to deal with it at their age.

3) The banter between Ben and Johnny is awesome. Even better when they all pick on Reed for being such a fuckin' nerd (he is, and damn it, there's no shame to be had for being a geek or nerd... not that I would know... ;) ).

4) So far, they have only encountered five villains... Mole Man, Doom, Annihlus, Mad Thinker, and Awesome Android. There is a whole lot of goodness to come, I suspect.

5) Millar and Land. Land and Millar. repeat. repeat again.

6) Doom has hooves. -- Oops. O.k., there's one strike against this. Ultimate Doom is kinda CornFlakey in appearance, but he is still a badass with an obsession to take down Reed.

7) The other books just ain't as good right now. That's my opinion, and I'm stickin' with it. MK4 sometimes looks o.k., but is kinda hit-or-miss to me. Of course, others will say the same about UF4. Still... I think the art has been pretty damn good, and makes the villains to be pretty f'n creepy. Ultimate Annhilus (he goes by Nihil) is one creepy mofo as is Ultimate Mad Thinker (I would not reccomend turning her down if she asked you to dance...). Yes, Thinker is a female, and at the very least she doesn't wear all green and look like Mr.Hyde with a bad haircut (and that's sayin' something!). I mean she performed a lobotomy on her brother just to make herself smarter. Tell me that ain't C-R-E-E-P-Y.

8) No diarrhea jokes as of yet. 'Nuff said!

9) I said so. And I'm always right. ;)

10) I just spoke with Sue, and she promised to bare her chest for you if you buy it. No invisibility either, though she promised me you'll never see another woman again after that. ;) -- Hey, she said it...

I dunno. Just buy it. It's fun. Do you really need another reason?

;)

I wholeheartly agree with Yes It`s Me not just because of the Film(but that`s a good reason) but also because there`s THREE FANTASTIC FOUR BOOKS! So it would make sens for the boards to have a FF Section.

As others have pointed out, for a Fantastic Four Board to be created then we need to see that there is a need for one.
This takes the form of FF related talk on an existing Board (in this case the Marvel Universe Forum). So if you want a FF Forum then go to the MU Board and try to drum up some meaningful conversation about Reed and Co.
