I've got a question! Inspired by hot sun. Lots of music. Including many different incarnaqtions of rock. From country to metal and back through making a nice little knot. Not to mention plenty of beer, burgers chips, and the like. We also have that nice thread and BBC article which sums up our personality with our choice of beverage.

Wait, I seem to be rambling. Why don't I get to the point?

So here we go. How much is too much alcohol? Many alcohol entusiasts (AE's) would likely say, there is no such thing as too much. Experienced AE's would point out stories invloving porcelain, back seats of cars, and potted plants.

Maybe a better worded question would be, what is the line between responsible drinking and exsessive drinking? Drinking one beer a night really excessive, and neither is getting drunk maybe once a month. Then you have alcoholics, who need lots of alcohol daily.

Where does it seem to cross that edge? Any thoughts?

The presence of beer is habit forming for me. I have two six packs and I'll start drinking 1-3 beers a night. One of the reasons for my post.

Yet I rarely take to trouble to stock up beer. So I havent had any real issues.

While 1-3 beers a night won't get you in trouble with alcohol addiction (if you're drinking them with a meal, and not "slamming them," but it will start to make you fat.

I'm like you, I love beer and if it's around I'll drink it. So I don't bother to stock it, cause I don't want to build on my love handles. And I'm fairly certain it's not the alcohol, because if I have O'Douls in the house I do the same thing.
