So my new column is up at The New Comic Book Galaxy (http://www.comicbookgalaxy.com). It's like the super special origin column, with some other stuff like fashion in comics, too. I hope everyone goes to check it out, I'm actually pretty proud of it (and the debut from last week). It'll run every other Monday starting this week. The rest of the content at the site is even better, so enjoy!

Believing in something and doing what you can to, hopefully, further the cause - very cool.
G'luck, Joe.

Oh my God that shot of Lois is hilarious.
Best of luck, Joe, and good on you for not setting up the column Newsarama-style with space for a lot of drooler messages from people underneath.

Would it be wrong to mention I also did something for the same web publication (an interview (http://www.comicbookgalaxy.com/spurgeon.html) with comics critic and former COMICS JOURNAL editor Tom Spurgeon?
It would?
Crap.

I'd be more concerned about her contorted mouth than that particular outfit.
Is it that bad?

If my wife wore that in public, I'd be walking three to five steps behind her.
Snickering.

Yes, it's that bad. The matching jacket and skirt are OK, but the top, with its "check out my knockers" bustline and what's apparently a series of Venn diagrams in light olive and periwinkle, violates entire sections of the US Fashion Code, as well as the Liechtenstein Good Taste Accords. If Lois picked that out herself, Clark needs to drop some money on a personal shopper.
I'm straight, dammit.

Looks good, Joe.
I agree with your point re. fashion. I'm glad that you limited it to 'regular clothes', as it is important to keep current fashions away from the superhero costumes (see Dazzler).
These days, we'd have heroes wearing trucker hats and tights down below their ass.

Oy. In reference to the New Excalibur series coming out this fall, I've seen a lot of people happy that Dazzler's in it, but pissed that she's not wearing her original costume.
WTF? Unless she's going undercover as a cast member in Mama Mia, there's no reason to drag that eyesore out of mothballs again, *ever*. (Although I will admit that the slightly updated version of her '80s "Sting with breasts" look isn't too great either.)
Hm... what modern look would fit Dazzler's "Popular musicians of five years ago" theme? A Britney Spears catholic schoolgirl outfit?

Do you have a link? I haven't seen any of this.
Although Dazzler dressed as Courtney Love would be funny.

Check the Newsarama thread on the announcement during WW Philly.
In fact, I'm going to just make a blanket link now. If I ever post about someone saying something stupid, assume it was on Newsarama.

Gyah! That shirt should be worn with JEANS or something. Probably tight ones. Or something white.
In defense of the artist, (or colorist? whoever did the shirt pattern), that style is one I've seen in a lot of stores. Same sort of coloring too. (The other one is usually in light pinks and oranges.)
