So, who here remembers guys like the Prowler, Steel-Spider (formerly Spider-Kid), and some of the other low-rent supers that Spidey used to hang around with during the 90s? I remember there was this one guy, a Spawn-clone who had a tech-suit with a memory cloth cape or something...

Youre thinking of Nightwatch.

I remember all of those guys, though to be fair, the Prowler existed way before the 90s. I kinda liked Steel Spider's outfit too. I didn't, however, like Warrant.

God I cant believe I forgot about all those jobber allies from the 90's I swear to God every few months in the letter page someone wanted the friggin Steel spider to come back (ollie not that "fabulous" armor Pete made).

Warrant wasn't an ally he was one of those EXTREME LEG PAD VILLAINZZZZZ

I was just wondering what happened to all the old, crappy characters that spiderman had to endure. Remember the racist dude who got turned into a blob and went around eating people? I think he was called "The Hate Monger" or something, and Rocket Racer tried to help (when are they going to make a brother that doesn't look like a dork and has real powers?). I also remember a few more jokes:

Bishop, Blade, Black Panther, War Machine, Prowler, Cage...

Bishop - jhery curl from the future? The character concept was cool, but he looked more like someone's dad out of the 70's than a bounty hunter. The bald-head look was better.

Blade - He was a cool character, i'll admit, but the box cut had to go.

Black Panther - Another cool concept, but Marvel didn't develop him as well as they could have.

War Machine - Iron Man rip-off. He wasn't as strong nor smart, and didn't he go crazy?

Prowler - Spider man jobber.

Cage - Cool concept, crappy carry-through. He would have been better off if Kurt Buseik had developed the character (couldn't you see him in Astro City?)
