Didn't answer my own question: I gots to go with option A.
Bad ass, conflicted and reflects just the type of inner struggle I'd like in a hero.
I could also take some blond scruff, but not a neatly trimmed beard.
Of course, doesn't matter my preference as it appears he's going back to clean cut in the future (don't do it Finch!).
Cleancut, shorn hair, then long with beard, then, way below, is long hair and clean shaven.

The "Thor Clone" look seperates him from the "Superman knock-off" stereotype and makes him look like his own character. Plus, it represents a change in his character since the revelations about the Void and his wife's "death." He's no longer the infallible idol that he once was. He's a much darker, much less clean-cut character.
Plus, he looks badass.
But my favorite look of his was the one at the beginning of the Sentry mini, with the wind breaker and the blanket fastened by clothes pins. :D

Um, the very fact that you think "Thor clone" means you're NOT thinking of him sperately. You're thinking "Thor", which is no better than saying "Superman", except I hate that look on Thor anyway.

That was the decription in the poll, sunshine. Those were not my own words, and that's why I put them in quotes. :D

I'm not thinking Thor. I was never a big Thor fan. On the other hand, the Sentry is one of my favorite characters. His clean-cut boy-scout look served its purpose, but he's at a new stage as a character. That change should be accompanied by a change in appearance. And as opposed to making him in to a scruffy hippy, I think the long-hair/clean-shaven look retains his noble qualities while signifying a very different Sentry.

I don't like that look on anyone really, so that's why I dislike it. The beard I can live with, but the hair should be short.

That'd be alright, too. The thing about the long hair and beard look is that it makes him look like he's totally let himself go. The Sentry is a tragic character, but not pathetic.
A little scruffiness or egde to him, that's fine. Kinda necessary at this point, IMO. But the whole dingy hippie thing makes me sad. :(

I like the "Thor look." Doom Hammer's right. He's at a new stage in his life. He's no longer the amercan idol, he's darker, with a more grim outlook on life. Nobody remembers him, save maybe Reed Richards. He's definately a new Sentry, and the long hair, clean shaven look is what makes him LOOK like the new Sentry. Literally. :p

Definitely prefer the long hair and beard.

I agree that he should have long hair and a beard. While it's been said he's Marvel's Superman, he's paradoxically also the anti-Superman. Anything he can do to physically differentiate himself from other, more traditional heroes, he should do. It also gives him a more edgy, badass look.
Plus, with no beard and short hair, he looks too much Miracle Man.

definetly like the thor look
when he has the dirty long beard he looks like a bum

Like this...?
Here is Robert Reynolds, once the great hero called the Sentry as he appears in the first 3 issues of New Avengers, an inmate at the superhuman holding facility called the Raft.

In his look for the next story arc in New Avengers called "The Sentry."

And the other, clean shaven look he's sporting post- "The Sentry" arc...

I like the bearded look.
It fitts in more with the gritty MU and makes him less of a Superman or Thor clone.

Long haired Sentry looks great so I hope he keeps that look.
I also liked the short haired one too but it defintely makes him more like Superman than the other looks. It looks like he's stuck in a stylistic rut between Superman and Thor ;) :p

I prefer the short haired look. It plays up the whole "hero from a simpler, better time" thing.
And, honestly, the long haired look brings back memories of the 90s Super-Mullet. Thanks, but no thanks.

Which he no longer is. ;)

Which he no longer is. ;)Sure, for the moment. But it's the conflict between the two paradigms that makes him an interesting character. If he stays fallen, I don't quite see the point.

How's that outfit any different from what Captain America or Thor wears? He actuially looks like an old fashioned super hero there.

personally i loved the old thor when he had the beard so i will go with that..
but i personally feel at the moment the beard suits him as he is still a shadowy figure and little isknown about him and prehaps he is hiding something ( not that all people with facial hair have something to hid).
and prehaps when we get to know him a little better he will shave it off.

The long hair dude is not The Sentry to me, it`s a stupid idea Bendis came up with to make him look like Thor.
The Sentry is the short blond hair hero that was in the Sentry mini-series by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee. PERIOD
Do you notice that Bendis likes to take characters and adds his own little things to them like Spider-Woman and Sentry?
I think the poller forgot one look: The Sentry`s original look with the full head-covered maks

He definitly looks more like finished look with a mask than what we had so far where he looks 1-Like Superman, 2-Thor
I would bring back the mask but just change the colors of his outfit.
