I'm always on the lookout for good DVD's to get, so fill me in on some.

In the past couple of weeks, I've bought:

The first season of HBO's "Entourage."
The second season of "Degrassi Junior High."
And, the first season of "Rescue Me."

Let's see..... I got the first season of DEADWOOD on DVD.... I picked up APPLESEED-- which is some amazing animation. I got the FIREFLY (only) season, though that's been out a while. :D

Oh, Mike, you suck!

I've wanted the "Deadwood" set since it came out......I just can't justify spending $80 on a DVD set right now.......

Kudos on the "Firefly," too. Out of all my DVD's, I probably watch "Firefly" the most. I've gone through the entire series about five times now. I loves it! Have you seen the trailer for the movie, yet? Oh, it'll knock your balls back up inside ya, Mike. For true.

I bought it about a month ago, but I gotta give a shout-out for the first season of "Scrubs." Not only is the funniest show on television, but just about the most touching and heartfelt. There are some pretty nifty extras on each disk, too. Yep, go buy it!!!

Oh, yeah-- I got the SCRUBS DVD collection as well! You gots some good taste, there, Aaron! I absolutely love SCRUBS. I think it's one of the absolute funniest shows on TV. I find myself laughing out loud so much each episode. The writing is really tight and well done. :D

Yeah, "Scrubs" is amazing. I love how it has you laughing out loud for 20 minutes, then crying for the last five. Those writers really know what they're doing. The show's totally getting boned by NBC, though. They're not showing any repeats this summer and new episodes aren't likely to start until close to the end of the year. :( Also, Bill Lawrenc,e the creator and executive producer of the show, has said that this will probably be the last season for the show. :(:(

First "Angel," now "Scrubs. It sucks......

Well, nothing great can last forever, I guess. I'd rather the show bow out while it's still really good instead of just trying to push on indefinitely as the quality slowly but surely degrades over time. Much like what's been happening to ER. That used to be one of my absolute favorite shows-- but I've just watched the last couple of seasons out of loyalty (much like how lots of comic book collectors will buy comics they don't enjoy any more just to 'keep up the collection'). But I certainly haven't much enjoyed them. I just can't seem to let go. The show just continues on aimlessly, with nothing substantial being done with any of the characters, and now with Noah Wyley gone, just about ALL the original cast is gone. I think Sherry Stringfield (is that her name?) who came back a couple years back is the last one, and her character is about as bland as vanilla.

I still like "ER."

It seems to me that the writers and producers are more interested in the plot than the characters now, though. For years, the show was really character-driven; you saw the doctors outside the hospital doing things and having families. Now it's more about the goings-on's at the hospital.

And the thing that makes me so mad about "Scrubs" ending is that a couple years back, Bill Lawrence said he had an eight year plan for the show. Eight years! That's three less than what we'll probably get and it's all because of NBC. The peacock always jerks the show around, putting it on different nights, and messing with its audience. They do that because it's not produced by NBC studios. That's right, NBC doesn't make as much money from "Scrubs," so they think it's disposable. What a bunch of maroons.......

Oh! And, I bought the first three seasons of "Batman: the Animated Series"! I haven't made it through too much of it, but it's just as good as I remember it. Beautiful stuff......
