I voted for the Batman that kisses catwoman. -- Which I think of as the Earth 2 Batman that married Catwoman and gave birth to the original Huntress. Yeah, bring back the pre-crisis on infinite earths EARTHS. AND bring back Bat-mite while we're at it. :D

For me, it's a toss-up between Bale, Detective, and Dark Knight. But since I can only vote once. I voted Bale.

Dark Knight all the way. Batman that kisses Catwoman comes in at a close second.

I think you missed the best Batman of all time - the one from the Animated Series, who was dark, a detective, but not a jerk, and not as dark as Miller would like.

Either BTAS Batman, Bale Batman, or Dark Knight Batman.

Dark Knight Batman

The Dark Knight
I'm not sure who the '70's Batman' or 'BTAS' is supposed to be. So I said Detective.

70's Batman is more happy-go-lucky than "happy-go-lucky Batman". He's the detective with a moralistic message in each panel. :p

The 70's Batman: I voted detective.

I would have went with 70's Batman because I LOVE the Adams/O'Neil stuff... but Detective Batman got my vote

The Dark Knight. Such a badass. SUCH a badass.

The Detective Batman, who I presume is the '70s/early '80s version, with the BTAS version a very close second and the Bat-Man third (if we interpret that to include all the Golden Age material through '48 or so). I have no use for 99.99% of the Batman comics published since '86 (the animated tie-ins excepted).

The Dark Knight. Such a badass. SUCH a badass.
I disagree a little. The Dark Knight to me is B:TAS Batman with an emphasis on KNIGHT. He's chivarous with a code of honor, compassion, and humanity with SOME darkness but not overwhelmed by it as Jerk Bat, Angst Bat, or Miller Batman would be.
Bat God/UberBat is arguably the "strongest" so in that sense a badass... but he also tended to be sufficiently a teamplayer to not be as "bad" a badass. The "bad" in badass, to me, signifies the anti-hero aspects of Batman which are greatest in Jerk Bat, Angst Bat, and Miller Bat. (wondering where these variations are on the poll?)
The Dark KNIGHT, however, is 100% hero without question.

Semantics.
"Badass" to me is a generic word for all things really, really great. Being a "Bad Ass" is something completely different. Um......I guess I need to expand my adjectives.

Another vote for Batman: The Animated Series. Great combination of dark/detective.
I would say Loeb's idea of Batman seems to fit this pretty good.

The Dark Knight and Detective Batman are close. I like both in my ideal Batman.

Either BTAS Batman, Bale Batman, or Dark Knight Batman.
I agree with all of these plus JL/JLU Bats! But I voted for Current jerky Batman. I like that he's being a p**** right now...I think it's interesting for the moment and want to see how it plays out.

I went with "Detective Batman" because that seemed closest to the O'Neil/Adams Batman that I loved and who continued through Englehart/Rogers and up to the Miller reboot. BTAS would be a reasonably close second.
