What, in your opinion, is the greatest quote in Marvel history?
In my opinion, I'll go with a classic:

The greatest, most recognizable, and most used quote in MU history is "With great power must also come great responsibility"
Also "Snikt"
It appears at least 84 times a month.

Is that 83 times too many? ;)

"Face it, Tiger, you just hit the jackpot!"
But honorable mention goes to the famous Captain America blooper:

Cap: OK, mister -- I'm ready for you! So let's wrap it up! Only one of us is gonna walk out of here-- under his own steam --"
PANEL TWO:

So many short ones... here's one of my favorites.
Rogue: "Is that what you want?! You found a better way with the X-Men... d'you want to turn your back on it?!"
Magneto: "And for those efforts, Rogue, what have I accomplished? The New Mutants were left in my charge and they suffered for it -- because I tried to pattern myself after Charles Xavier. I am not Charles Xavier. I will never be Charles Xavier. I was a fool to try. As he was, for believing I could succeed. My people are in danger, more so now than ever before... and a kinder, gentler Magneto cannot save them."
Goosebumps. Just says everything you'll ever need to know about the character in one speech.

"bang... you dead!" (not a favorite but its been used a lot in the x-universe)
i think "avengers assemble!" is probably the most used and recognizable quote in the mu. "hulk smash!" is probably second, followed by the "with great power..." bit.

Squirrel Girl: "Why look, it's Grasshopper! What're you doin' here?"
Grasshopper: "Well, since I'm not really in this issue either, thought I'd poke my head in for some valuable "Face-time." So? What's up?"
Squirrel Girl: "Oh, Monkey Joe and I were doing a P.S.A. for the kids, warning 'em about replicable acts 'n' stuff."
Grasshopper: "Kids? What kids? Only people reading comcs these days are overweight men in their thirties with poor hygiene. And still living with their parents. Heck, if most of 'em did some a' the dangerous crap in this comic, it'd probably do the human gene pool a favor. That is, if any of 'em had a chance of reproducing sexually."
Squirrel Girl: "Oh dear..."
Monkey Joe: "Hey, fanboys! Don't take that lying down! Write an agry letter to Marvel today!"
Followed by;
Squirrel Girl: "Oh? You're back? Gosh, didn't see that coming. Maybe it's just me... but I'm not crazy about super hero stories where everything's all dark and moody. Personally, I like the ones where good guys fight giant apes on the moon and stuff. Remember those? I do. That was back when comic book worlds were places you want to escape to... not from."
And of course;
Death's Head: "Ahh! Over... good try Doctor, but whatever it was, it didn't work!"
Doctor: "Oh, I wouldn't say that. It worked... just not quite the way I expected it to! I mean, with something called an eliminator, you'd expect it would eliminate wouldn't you? Still, I suppose there is the tissue compression side to it... perhaps it's got two settings..."

You are a mighty fighter, but in the end, you are only a selfish creature while heroes...heroes have an infinite capacity for stupidity! Thus are legends born! "
"They sing no songs in Hel, nor do they celebrate heroes, for silent is that dismal realm, and cheerless. But the story of Gjallerbru and the god who defended it is whispered across the nine worlds, and when a new arrival asks about the one to whom even Hela bows her head, the answer is always the same: He stood alone at Gjallerbru... and that is answer enough."

A lot of the classic ones are already mentioned but here goes a few more
"Imperius Rex!" - - Namor
The classic fight in FF #40...
Doom: "No!! It's impossible!! You can't keep coming - - not against the force of my nerve-shattering energy blasts!
Ben: "Mister, maybe I'm just too dumb to collapse - - too ugly to die !! I'll let you figure out the reasons..! As fer me - - I finally got my paws on ya - - and nothin's gonna save ya now!
I wish the writers of today would remember that scene when they think of the Thing. There are far too few times in the last decade when he's had an epic beat down...and won...
Doom and his views on governance...
"Have I not told you how dearly I love my subjects? Did you think I would allow a single one to leave this realm? The welfare of my people is ever closest to my heart. What a pity that I am so often forced to save you from yourselves. That is why my invincible robot army stands guard both night and day. For no one knows what's best for you...except your mighty sovereign ...Doctor Doom!"
“Our power grants us the right to rule, but it also carries with it the responsibility to care for those placed in our charge. That is the ancient feudal covenant between monarch and subjects. For a time, this world is my home. As my home, it merits my protection. By force of arms, my adversary has stakes his claim of sovereignity. I deny it! And by doing so, claim this world for Doom.”

This is usually followed by him speaking about himself in third person, like, "Doom need not bother with the trifles of ordinary men." But those three letters are like his own catchphrase.

I can't remember the actual quotes but all the lines of when Iron Man completely shits all over MODOG in Invincible Iron Man #2 (the most recent run) were awesome. He just treats him like a joke, turns up the classical music in his suit and non-chalantly throws him into space.
"The veins are freezing in his blood as he becomes a murderous little satellite. I don't know if he'll ever come down. I don't really care."
Something along those lines. One of my favorite Iron Man moments.

"Call it Twilight of the Gods...Call it Ragnorok...Call it Judgment Day...You have always known in your soul it would come...and it has. But it is not I who bring this day! Rather, it is yourselves--through the very forces you believed would forever avert it!
Communication: this is what has undone you! At last, men everywhere may know of another's successes--and so, see their own failures! No longer may they slumber in blissful ignorance! Now, each man cries for his share of the bounty from the tree of knowledge! From all sides come the cries--and in response, each man draws more closely in upon himself!
The mere mention of compromise--cooperation--sounds of wretched weakness! Each man must have all he desires! Each man must win--and so, all men must lose!"
-Spoken by Eternity to Doctor Strange (written by Steve Englehart) in Doctor Strange #10, dated 1975.
Amazing how these words, almost 35 years old, seemingly describe the world as we find it today.

First, an apology to The Lucky One for lifting your sig.
"Listen, Urich. There are things you just don't let happen in this racket. Number one is you never get scared away from a story. Not while you've got the most powerful weapon in the world on your side. This is five million readers' worth of power. It can depose mayors. It can destroy presidents. And it's been due to get aimed at the Kingpin for years. But it needs you to do it."

Reed: Well, Victor...I've been thinking.

Here's a great Deadpool quote. "As for the rest of you... Ahem- I WOULDN'T APOLOGIZE TO YOU IF YOU THREATENED TO CONSIGN ME TO ALL ETERNITY SMOTHERED IN CHOCOLATE SAUCE AND TRAPPED IN A ROSEANNE BARR/STAR JONES SANDWICH! I'M GLAD YOU'RE DEAD! IF I COULD, I'D KILL YOU AGAIN! THEN I'D GO BACK IN TIME, IMPREGNATE EACH OF YOUR MOTHERS TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE BORN... AND I'D KILL YOU AGAIN!"

What are the best lines in comics? I'm NOT talking about battle cries (you know, "It's Clobberin' Time!" or "Avengers Assemble!") or their like.
The one I always liked was when the villain sent his troops en masse after Captain America and yelled, "Stop him! He's only one man!" That line got used on Cap a bunch of times and we all know that smile that would cross his face as he'd open a can of whup @ss on the entire gang of bad guys, single handedly.
Any other great ones? Let's hear 'em!

There have been a lot of great quotes, but the one that comes to mind is the line that Zodiac said to Agent Murphy regarding the events of Secret Invasion:Dark Reign. Zodiac: "...So I overheard everything in Norman's "secret meeting." The whole sordid conversation. I said it before and I'll say it again..I'm not going to hide what I am. If I wanna kill a puppy on television...Then I won't think twice."
Imo I think who ever takes over from Norman after Siege may have their hands full with this guy, I mean he hacked into HAMMERs databases and hamstrung it with a fake Galactus threat, and unleashed the original Red Ronin on New York just to get the Zodiac Key, and for $#!^s and giggles, I hate to see what this guy would come up with as an actual threat.

One.
The helmet? Dumb."
"Tis a matter of opinion. What, pray tell, is thy second observation?"

This thread is incredibly long so I'm not gonna check it all the way through, but I loved the issue of Might Avengers where Reed Richards tells Pym: "We both know, i know more about Pym particles than you" followed by a silent panel.
I think his reply is something along the lines of "Game on, bitch".

Thor is back, and he's really, really angry:
"Give your orders and ultimatums to those who choose to obey, or are too cowardly to fight, not to me. Or learn again the difference between a God of thunder... and a man in a metal suit."
And on the comical side, though Nextwave was comedy gold, my favourite quote of them all:
FIN FANG FOOM!
Has been burning with the need to mate since 1956!
FIN FANG FOOM!
Has absolutely no genitals whatsoever!
FIN FANG FOOM!
Oh, you cannot imagine how annoyed he is.
