If anything, I think she got powered up.

I do miss the Invisible Plane though.

Btw, I never been too clear on this pre crisis, post crisis stuff...

What crisis are we talkin bout?

Identity Crisis or some other crisis?

In terms of strength, kinda. At one time she could barely lift a ship. At another time she hammer PC Superman through planets into another galaxy.

In terms of everything else, she got powered up. PC WW could never fly and was very slow. She could only run at 80 mph. PC WW also had the "tie up my bracelets and I'm powerless" weakness. Current WW doesn't have that.

However PC Wonder Woman was immune to electricity.

I'd say yes considering that Pre-Crisis she was pretty much equal to Superman. I'd have to find it but I found scans one time of I think the only fight they had Pre-Crisis and Diana was matching Superman blow for blow.

The Invisible Plane is still around. And much more powerful. It's a cross of Invisible Woman's forcefields and Green Lantern's ring. Very underestimated.

Crisis of infinite earths.

Before the crisis there were countless alternate earths with different scenarios in them: Earth 1 was the Silver age DC earth, earth 2 was Golden age, Earth C had talking animals etc.

Eventually, it got so freakin confusing that DC decided to just nuke the lot of them. Thats where Crisis of infinite earths comes in.

Basially this big ass bad guy called the Anti-Monitor hit the scene and started destroying alternate realities. I'm not too keen on the specifics, but I know that alot of people (Including the original supergirl and the first silver age flash) were killed off, and in the end there was but one continuity left, the one we read about in the comics today.

(It also lead to things such as Superman getting a powerdown and Batman becoming an angst ridden asshole, among other things)

Hope that helps.

That's what I thought. See it in the comic book store all the time.

i would say that post crisis ww is more improved and powerful...she was a goddess at one point post crisis that is. she is not waiting for streve trevor anymore, and she has a mission an it is important. in terms of power ,,,yes,,,she can beat superman's ass if she really is motivated and she does not have some of the other pre crisis failings. she is an independent character not just a superman female clone.

Didn't the bondage thing come up during Morrison's JLA run?

Personaly I think she's TOO powerful these days. Flight and Superspeed just seem unnessisary, she should be a cross between SuperMan and Batman, With superpowers but relying on her fighter training and wits more often then not. By making her more Superman-ish she loses some of her unique charm.

Blame the whole bondage thing of Moulton (spelling?).

Count me among those who say that she gained a power up post crisis.

She definitely powered up. Although there was the ocassional Silver Age story where she held her own against Supergirl or Superman, these were few and far between and more often than not, she was shown to be considerably less powerful than a Kryptonian. She also couldn't fly, didn't have super-speed, and lost her powers if a man tied her up.

In the early, early JLA days, vol. 1 that is, I remember in one comic she easily picked up the statue of liberty... And a few pages later she coulden't defeat a few dinosaurs. :D
