LOTDK #192: Thoughts/ SPOILERS

Okay, has anyone else read this yet? Of course you have!

I usually don't pick this title up, but I was intrigued bythe artwork, and opening it up, it seemed like this was a story that would take me more than 2 minutes to read so I paid my 3 bucks and walked out with it.

I really enjoyed this book more than any other Bat- title I've read lately. I'm not exactly sure why. But, as a total package of comic-goodness, this one delivered.

The artwork was unique, and not what you would normally see in a Batman book, but I loved it anyway. Especially the depictions of Bruce's injuries after getting shot. The detail in the bandages, band-aids, and bruised muscles was amazing. And the smoke coming out of Gordon's ears was kinda cool in a Magical Mystery Tour sort-of-way.

So, it looks like this will be an re-telling of the origin of Mr. Freeze. Doubtful that anything major will be changed from his origin, (Villians Secret Files just came out) maybe more like a refreshed, updated version.

Anyway, I will definitley be picking up the rest of this story. Did anybody else like / dislike it?

I liked this issue. I picked it up because of the art as well. It has a Frank Quietly look to it. Very clean and detailed, I love the look. I think ill probably pick up this arc.

Yeah, I enjoyed it very much but I don't have much to compare it to. The only other Bat title I'm reading is Gotham Knights. I'll be picking up another if these two books are anything to go by.

The only other Bat-book I'm picking up right now is "Batman", and LOTDK is quite different from that right now.

I love it when i pick something up that hasn't been publisized and promoted in Wizard,(y'know- nobodys talking about it) but turns out to be a real surprise in terms of quality! :)
