Im new to comics and i have found some old stuff that drew my attention. First, i know Jason Todd died, hes back? and i read a crossover story where Batman and Robin dug up Captain america. the robin was a redhead. the book said that Dick grayson became batman and Bruce jr. was robin. is this from some alternate DC universe?

Yeah, apparently Jason Todd is back. He's the new Red Hood (a previous identity of The Joker). They haven't explained how he came back yet, but he's been stirring things up in the Batman title for a few months.

That thing with Captain America is an alternate reality and don't pay any attention to it.

Just regular Batman. As far as I know, Todd hasn't shown up in any other books yet.

Let's see... Yes, Jason Todd died. Yes he's been brought back. Jason Todd was a redhead before the Crisis as I remember, though he was even more of a Dick Grayson clone back then. Since it was pre-crisis perhaps it means Earth 2 or somesuch. In any event all crossovers are pretty much out of continuity.
